What Samsung’s Odd 2024 Leak Really Showed: Galaxy Z Fold6, Flip6, Watch Ultra and Ring

The strange June 2024 leak previewed Samsung’s Fold6, Flip6, Galaxy Ring and Watch Ultra, with Watch7 expected alongside them. Here is what the pixels established—and what they did not.

The “odd leak” was a June 10, 2024 report built around heavily pixelated images attributed to Evan Blass. The pictures appeared to show Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch Ultra; the same report separately expected the standard Galaxy Watch7 at Samsung’s rumored July Unpacked event in Paris. These products are no longer upcoming in 2026, so the useful question is how much the leak actually established—and what Samsung later confirmed.

What leaked on June 10, 2024?

The contemporary report at Android Headlines described a set of pixelated images that looked like Samsung promotional material. Rather than exposing one phone, the images placed several product categories in the same leak: two foldables and two kinds of wearable.

The images were attributed to prolific leaker Evan Blass. Pixelation made fine details impossible to verify, but broad silhouettes, colors and the apparent marketing-render format remained visible. That combination made the leak intriguing without making every specification readable or authenticatable.

Which products were shown or expected?

Product What the report supported Evidence level
Galaxy Z Fold6 A book-style foldable silhouette and design language consistent with Samsung material already circulating. Strong visual inference
Galaxy Z Flip6 A clamshell foldable silhouette with a similarly recognizable Samsung treatment. Strong visual inference
Galaxy Ring A ring-shaped wearable was identified in the image set. Direct identification in the report
Galaxy Watch Ultra A large, rugged-looking premium watch appeared in the highlighted images. Strong visual inference
Galaxy Watch7 The regular Watch7 was described as another product expected at the event, not necessarily as clearly visible in the highlighted images. Reported expectation

That distinction matters. It is inaccurate to say the pixels independently proved five clearly visible products. The report discussed five images, identified four main products in the image set, and added the standard Watch7 as an expected launch companion.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, 512GB, Jet Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • A premium foldable smartphone featuring an 8.0" Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display, 6.5" cover display, 200MP main camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, 4,400mAh battery, and a slim 215g design.

Why the leak looked credible—and why it was not proof

The original article’s credibility argument had three parts:

  • The images were attributed to Evan Blass.
  • The foldable shapes and design language appeared to match Samsung material the company had already shared or previewed.
  • The files resembled teasers for fuller marketing images that might emerge later.

A known leaker can raise the probability that an image is genuine, but attribution is not authentication from Samsung. Pixelation also creates a verification problem: a recognizable outline can establish product category and styling while concealing the hardware details that distinguish a final retail unit from an internal render.

What event was the report predicting?

At publication, the report said Samsung’s second Unpacked event of 2024 was rumored for July 10, 2024, in Paris, France. Those were predictions at the time, not confirmed facts presented by Samsung in the leak report. The date and location should therefore be read as contemporaneous expectations.

Why this lineup was more important than a phone leak

The apparent lineup showed Samsung preparing an ecosystem story rather than a single-device refresh:

  • Fold6 and Flip6: phone hardware for multitasking, productivity and compact form factors.
  • Galaxy Watch7: a mainstream wrist wearable for everyday notifications, fitness and health tracking.
  • Galaxy Watch Ultra: a larger, more rugged premium watch aimed at outdoor and endurance use.
  • Galaxy Ring: a new finger-worn sensor platform for sleep and wellness data.

Samsung’s current Galaxy Ring page presents the ring, a compatible Galaxy phone and Galaxy Watch devices as a connected Samsung Health system. The page says the ring uses an accelerometer, optical bio-signal sensor and skin-temperature sensor for activity, heart-rate, sleep and cycle-related tracking. Samsung lists up to seven days of ring battery life and up to 14 days with its charging cradle, and says setup requires a registered Samsung account and compatible Galaxy smartphone. These are current manufacturer claims, not details that the pixelated June leak could establish. See Samsung’s Galaxy Ring page.

What the leak did not prove

  • Specifications: The images did not establish processors, cameras, batteries, displays or software features.
  • Final colors and finishes: A promotional render can represent an intended design without proving every retail color or regional configuration.
  • Pricing: No current or launch price can be derived from the leak.
  • Availability: A pictured product does not guarantee release in every country or carrier channel.
  • The regular Watch7’s presence in the images: The report expected it at the event but highlighted the Watch Ultra in the image set.
  • Medical outcomes: Samsung’s health functions are tracking and wellness features, not evidence of diagnosis or treatment.

How the products turned out

The product identities were broadly borne out by Samsung’s subsequent 2024 launch cycle, but the leak’s visual evidence should not be upgraded into confirmation of every rumor. Samsung’s U.S. product pages now mark both the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 as no longer available or replaced by newer models.

The Galaxy Watch7 page remains active and describes 40 mm and 44 mm cases, a 3 nm processor, sleep-apnea detection, Energy Score and Samsung Health integration. Samsung’s current U.S. listing showed it from $249.99 before trade-in on August 18, 2026; that is a current page price, not a 2024 launch price.

The page also contains later-version and software references, so those details cannot be projected backward onto the original leak.

Samsung’s Galaxy Ring page showed a U.S. price from $299.99 before trade-in on August 18, 2026. Current sizing guidance, promotions and Galaxy AI branding likewise belong to the later product page, not to the June 2024 images.

Where these devices stand for buyers in 2026

Galaxy Ring

The Ring is the most relevant choice for someone focused on sleep and low-profile wellness tracking, provided they use a compatible Samsung Galaxy phone and Samsung account. Samsung recommends using its sizing kit and wearing the sample for more than 24 hours. It can overlap with a smartwatch’s health features, while its strongest rationale is the combined Ring-and-Watch Samsung Health experience.

Galaxy Watch7

Watch7 is the conventional option for notifications, workouts and general smartwatch use. Samsung positions it for Android phones through Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health, making it a poor fit for iPhone users or anyone avoiding Samsung’s account-and-app ecosystem.

Galaxy Watch Ultra

The Ultra is aimed at outdoor activities, endurance training, navigation and buyers who value titanium construction and a larger, rugged design. Its price and size are difficult to justify if the goal is only basic notifications or sleep tracking.

Fold6 and Flip6

Because Samsung’s U.S. pages identify both foldables as unavailable or replaced, they should be treated as historical products rather than current primary recommendations. Readers shopping for a foldable should use Samsung’s current Galaxy Z-series listings and verify inventory, warranty and model generation instead of assuming an old product page is purchasable.

A simple way to read leaks like this

  1. Separate visibility from interpretation. Record what the pixels visibly show: category, silhouette and broad styling.
  2. Label the source’s inferences. Device names, event dates and leaker attribution are claims made by the contemporary report.
  3. Check later official confirmation. Product pages and launch announcements establish final names, specifications, prices and regional availability.
  4. Keep dates attached to numbers. A 2026 Samsung page price is not evidence of a 2024 launch price.

Bottom line on the “odd leak”

The leak was valuable because it previewed Samsung’s entire 2024 premium-device strategy: two foldables, a mainstream watch, a rugged Ultra and the company’s first Galaxy Ring. Its strongest evidence concerned product identities and visual direction. It did not independently confirm specifications, prices, launch timing or availability. In 2026, the story is best understood as a historical leak that was broadly right about the lineup, not as a current announcement.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
