When did the Samsung Galaxy Ring come out in the U.S.?
Samsung announced the Galaxy Ring on July 10, 2024, and said U.S. preorders would begin that day. General availability began July 24, 2024. Samsung named Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, Amazon, AT&T, and Best Buy as launch sales channels. Samsung’s launch announcement gives the preorder and general-availability dates.
How much does the Galaxy Ring cost?
Samsung announced a U.S. starting price of $399.99 at launch, and its U.S. purchase listing displayed $399.99 when accessed for this research on October 7, 2026. Checkout price, stock, size and color availability, and promotions can change, so check Samsung’s current U.S. product listing before buying. The Galaxy Ring 2 has no announced price in the sources reviewed.
Samsung announced that the ring’s size range expanded to sizes 5 through 15 and that it is offered in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold; availability can vary by market. What should buyers know about the current Galaxy Ring?
Samsung says setup requires a Samsung account registered on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. This is an important compatibility limitation: do not assume the current ring can be set up with any Android phone or an iPhone. Samsung’s product overview lists setup requirements and product qualifications.
Samsung lists battery life of up to six days for sizes 12 and 13 and up to seven days for smaller sizes, with results varying. Samsung also qualifies its 10ATM and IP68 water-resistance ratings with specific conditions and care guidance; the ring should not be described as unconditionally waterproof. Check Samsung’s product overview for the current battery and water-resistance qualifications.

Galaxy Ring 2: what has Samsung confirmed?
Samsung has indicated that a future Galaxy Ring is planned, and reporting attributes next-generation development to Samsung digital-health head Dr. Hon Pak. In a July 22, 2026 interview, Samsung VP Annika Bizon said, “I will say yes, we are looking at the future of Ring, watch this space. It will definitely form part of our future portfolio of wearables.” TechRadar reported Bizon’s comments; Tom’s Guide reported on Hon Pak’s comments about next-generation development.
Those statements do not establish a launch date, U.S. availability date, price, final product name, or final specifications. Possible iPhone support has been discussed in reporting, but it is not confirmed. Tom’s Guide’s reporting discusses the successor and the unconfirmed iOS possibility.
