The Wren x Ben’s Watches Diver One Magma is a limited-edition dive-style watch distinguished by its matte orange-to-black fumé dial, dark lume, and ceramic bezel insert—a first for the Diver One series. It pairs those design choices with a 41 mm stainless-steel case, a Sellita SW200 automatic movement, and a stated 200 m water-resistance rating. It launched at US$1,075 in a numbered run of 100; Wren’s FAQ search-result text now reports that it is sold out and will not be repeated.

The short version

The Magma is a collaboration between Wren Watches and Ben Cook of Ben’s Watches. Its volcanic-inspired dial gives Wren’s Diver One platform a distinctive look, while the reported specifications remain those of a conventional modern dive-style watch.

The watch launched on 26 August 2025 at US$1,075 as a numbered edition of 100. Wren’s FAQ search-result text says the edition is sold out and will not be repeated. The price is historical, not a verified current offer, and resale availability should be checked directly with individual sellers. TIME+TIDE’s launch coverage provides the release details and specifications.

What is the Diver One Magma?

The Magma is a co-release by Wren and Ben Cook, who is associated with Ben’s Watches. TIME+TIDE described it as Ben Cook’s first collaboration; Wren founder Craig Karger described it as Wren’s first collaboration. Karger’s launch announcement characterized it as “the boldest Diver One we’ve made”—the founder’s opinion, rather than an independent assessment.

  • Slim & Refined V2 Upgrade: Experience a noticeably slimmer and more comfortable fit on the wrist. The WD16500 V2 version features an improved, finely finished bracelet with secure screw pins for enhanced durability and ease of adjustment.
  • Premium Materials & Craftsmanship: The 316L stainless steel case is built to last. It's paired with a sleek fixed ceramic bezel and a flat sapphire crystal with clear anti-reflective coating, offering exceptional scratch resistance and clarity.
  • Waterproof Watch: With 100 meters (10 ATM) of water resistance and a screw-down crown and case back, this watch is perfectly suited for swimming, snorkeling, and everyday use without worry.
  • Crystal-Clear Legibility: The dial features high-intensity Swis BGW9 Super-Luminious on both the hands and indices. This ensures a bright, long-lasting blue glow for perfect readability in any lighting condition.

The watch uses the Diver One’s 41 mm stainless-steel case and adds a matte orange-to-black fumé dial inspired by molten lava cooling into dark volcanic rock. The launch feature is dated 26 August 2025 and reported a limited run of 100 individually numbered pieces. Its original shipping schedule was a launch-era plan, not a guide to present fulfillment.

Design and dimensions

Specification Reported detail
Case material Stainless steel
Case diameter 41 mm
Lug-to-lug 47 mm
Thickness 13.3 mm
Crystal Sapphire
Bezel Ceramic insert
Movement Sellita SW200 automatic
Water resistance Stated 200 m
Included options Steel bracelet and black rubber strap
Edition 100 individually numbered pieces

The 41 mm diameter, 47 mm lug-to-lug length, and 13.3 mm thickness are reported in TIME+TIDE’s launch coverage. These dimensions may help readers compare the Magma with other watches, but they do not establish how it will wear on a particular wrist.

The signature is the matte orange-to-black fumé dial. The design uses dark grey or black lume with white outlines around the hands and markers for contrast. The ceramic bezel insert was a first for the Diver One series. The available research does not establish hands-on lume performance, wear comfort, or scratch resistance.

Movement and practical specifications

The Magma is reported to use a Sellita SW200 automatic movement. TIME+TIDE’s launch coverage identifies the calibre, but the reviewed research does not establish further movement specifications or independent accuracy and reliability results. The presence of this movement should not be treated as a performance guarantee for an individual watch.

Casio Men's MDV106-1AV 200M Black Dive Watch (MDV106-1A)
  • Stainless Steel case with Black Resin Band
  • Black Dial with date window at 3 O'clock
  • Luminous markers and hour hands; sweep second hand
  • Anti-reverse bezel
  • Water-resistant to 200 M (660 feet)

TIME+TIDE reports sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, and a stated 200 m water-resistance rating. Wren’s FAQ search-result text says the Diver One’s rating requires the crown to be fully screwed down. The FAQ page redirected to a password page when researchers tried to open it, so those manufacturer details should be understood as reported search-result text rather than a successfully reviewed live page.

Bracelet and rubber strap

The launch coverage reports that the set includes a steel bracelet and a black rubber strap. The research does not verify the bracelet’s adjustment mechanism or the rubber strap’s exact fit dimensions. Both are included options, so there is no researched basis to suggest that buyers inherently need to purchase a separate strap.

Is it a serious dive watch?

The Magma is described with a screw-down crown, a ceramic bezel insert, sapphire crystal, and a stated 200 m water-resistance rating. Those are meaningful dive-watch specifications, but the available research does not provide independent pressure-test results or hands-on diving experience with this model.

A water-resistance rating does not confirm that a particular used watch remains sealed. Anyone planning water use with a pre-owned example should have its condition and water resistance checked by a qualified watchmaker, especially if its service history is unknown.

Price and availability

The Magma launched at US$1,075 in August 2025, with production limited to 100 numbered pieces. That figure is the historical launch price, not a verified current selling price. Wren’s FAQ search-result text says the Magma is sold out and will not be repeated; Wren’s product card in its announcement also showed “Sold Out.” Because the FAQ page could not be opened during research, check Wren’s own current information for any change in status. Wren’s product catalog is a place to check the maker’s listings.

No current resale listing, completed sale, or verified alternative stock was established by the research. Treat any resale offer as an individual seller’s claim and verify its price, condition, completeness, and availability before buying.

What to check before buying one used

  1. Confirm the edition number: Ask for clear photographs of the watch and any documentation that shows its number.
  2. Check what is included: Confirm whether the steel bracelet, black rubber strap, packaging, and any original documentation are present.
  3. Inspect condition: Request clear photographs of the case, crystal, bezel, bracelet, and clasp, and ask about damage or repairs.
  4. Ask about service and water use: Request service information and arrange a water-resistance check before swimming or diving if the watch’s history is uncertain.
  5. Verify the offer: Confirm the seller’s current price, availability, return terms, and payment protections. Historical launch pricing does not establish a fair resale value.

Who should consider the Diver One Magma?

The Magma may appeal to someone who wants a modern dive-style watch with a more unusual dial than a conventional black or blue option. Its volcanic color scheme and collaboration identity are the main distinctions; the reported steel case, automatic movement, sapphire crystal, and 200 m rating provide familiar practical specifications.

It is less suitable for a buyer who needs independently verified performance data or a confirmed new retail offer. The edition’s limited size and reported sellout do not establish investment potential or a particular resale value.

Verdict

The Wren x Ben’s Watches Diver One Magma stands out for its matte orange-to-black dial, dark-lume design, and the first ceramic bezel insert in the Diver One series. Its reported 41 mm case, Sellita SW200 automatic movement, sapphire crystal, included bracelet and rubber strap, and stated 200 m water resistance make it a recognizably equipped dive-style watch.

It launched at US$1,075 in a numbered run of 100, but that is historical pricing. Wren’s FAQ search-result text reports that it is sold out and will not be repeated, so anyone pursuing one should verify the current offer and the individual watch’s condition rather than infer value from scarcity.
