The milestone was marked by more than one release: the Big Bang Unico Full Magic Gold put the brand’s proprietary gold alloy at the center, while the “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie collection offered a distinct high-jewelry expression of the anniversary.
Why 2015 marked 10 years of the Big Bang
The Big Bang debuted in 2005; the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) dates its creation to spring of that year. Hublot’s retrospective describes it as the brand’s best-selling model since its introduction. In 2015, Hublot presented anniversary releases that built on the collection’s identity rather than a single watch standing for every version of the milestone.
The collection also evolved between launch and anniversary. The GPHG entry notes that in 2013 the original Big Bang was modified to house Hublot’s UNICO movement, which it describes as a column-wheel chronograph with a double clutch visible on the dial side. GPHG’s entry for the Big Bang Unico “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie provides that history.

These are examples of the anniversary’s different directions, not interchangeable names for one reference. The available descriptions do not provide a complete reference-by-reference specification or price comparison.

How the releases expressed the “Art of Fusion”
Hublot’s “Art of Fusion” idea is expressed through combinations that traditional watchmaking might keep separate. Its account of the Big Bang points to materials including gold, fibreglass, rubber and ceramic, brought together in a layered case designed to accommodate varied materials. That construction makes material contrast part of the watch’s visual identity, not merely a choice of finish.
Magic Gold carried that approach into the Full Magic Gold anniversary release. Hublot described it as an 18-karat gold alloy with scratch-resistant properties and said it produced the material in-house at its Nyon manufacture. The brand also said Magic Gold had been unveiled to the press in 2011. These are Hublot’s descriptions of its material and production, not independent test findings. Hublot’s 2015 announcement sets out those claims.

What the $10 million figure means
GPHG assigns a $10 million value to the “10 Years” Haute Joaillerie collection. The entry does not specify whether this is a retail total, an assessed value or another measure. It is a collection-level figure and should not be read as the price of one watch or as evidence of what an individual example sells for today.

The 2015 anniversary establishes the historical context for these releases, but it does not establish current retail availability or resale prices for any individual reference. Anyone evaluating a specific watch should confirm its reference number, case material, movement, edition size, launch-market details and provenance against model-specific documentation. The two anniversary releases described here differ in focus, so the collection name or anniversary label alone is not enough to identify a watch’s specifications.

Hublot revisited the Big Bang again for its twentieth anniversary in 2025, unveiling a fusion of the Big Bang Original and Big Bang Unico. That later milestone does not change why 2015 was the tenth anniversary: the original collection began in 2005. Hublot’s 2025 announcement describes the newer anniversary project.
