Time+Tide identified 14 watches and wearables in selected episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, including five attributed to Jerry Seinfeld. The list below records what that 18 July 2018 article reported; it is a watch-spotting selection, not an official inventory or confirmation from every wearer. Some identifications are broad, and two carry explicit uncertainty.

What watch does Jerry Seinfeld wear in Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee?

Time+Tide’s 2018 list attributes five watches to Seinfeld: a G-Shock Rangeman, a 1990s Breitling Navitimer, a Breitling Aerospace, a Breitling Cosmonaute 01 Black Steel, and a Heuer “Siffert” Autavia. The entries appear in different episodes, rather than establishing one signature watch for the whole series.

For the Aerospace in the episode with Ellen DeGeneres, Hodinkee also noted a white dial. Hodinkee’s 2016 profile of Spike Feresten provides background that Seinfeld had been spotted wearing a Siffert-style Autavia, including in promotional material, but it does not independently confirm the episode-specific identification.

All 14 reported watch and wearable sightings

The episode numbers and identifications in this table follow Daniel Senia’s Time+Tide list, published 18 July 2018. “Reported identification” distinguishes the article’s visual attribution from a model confirmed by the wearer.

Which identifications have extra support?

Ellen DeGeneres’s Daytona

Time+Tide identifies DeGeneres’s watch as a Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona. In a separate article dated 9 July 2018, Hodinkee described it as appearing to be reference 6241 and noted a three-colour dial. “Appears to be” matters: the reference is a visual assessment, not a reported confirmation from DeGeneres.

Seinfeld’s Siffert-style Autavia

Hodinkee’s 7 December 2016 profile of Spike Feresten says Seinfeld had been spotted with a Siffert-style Autavia, including in 2012 promotional material for the series. That supports the broader association, while leaving Time+Tide’s season 10, episode 12 sighting as its own editorial identification.

How to read this watch-spotting list

  • It is a selection, not a series-wide census. Time+Tide published 14 entries from selected episodes; the list does not claim to account for every watch worn throughout the show.
  • Specificity varies. Some entries name a model, while others identify only a brand or family, such as the Casio G-Shock. The Apple Watch, Fitbit, and several Rolex entries have no generation or reference stated.
  • Visual estimates remain estimates. The Richard Mille is “most likely” an RM011-FM, and Hodinkee says the Daytona “appears” to be a reference 6241. Neither phrasing should be upgraded to certainty.
  • The list mixes categories. It includes digital and connected wearables as well as analog and vintage or collectible watches; it does not establish detailed specifications or current retail availability for each identification.

Historical context

Time+Tide’s 18 July 2018 article said the show had been streamed more than 100 million times by the time it discussed the new Netflix season, following nine seasons as a web series on Crackle. That is a historical figure reported by Time+Tide in 2018, not a current view count or an independently verified platform metric.
