What changed with the 2021 Black Bay Chrono 79360N?
Tudor’s 2021 product sheet identifies reference 79360N as the Black Bay Chrono. Monochrome’s April 2021 hands-on review describes the release as a redesign with a slightly revised case, a new black bezel and two-tone dials. The review gives the case height as 14.2 mm; that is the publication’s measurement, not a height stated on Tudor’s product sheet.

The bezel is fixed steel with a matte black anodized aluminum disc and silver tachymeter markings. The 316L steel case has polished and satin finishes, a screw-down crown and pushers, a domed sapphire crystal, and water resistance Tudor specifies as 200 m.
Panda or reverse panda: which dial is which?

Both versions have the date at 6 o’clock. The dial treatment is the principal difference between the two 79360N options described in Tudor’s 2021 product sheet and Monochrome’s review.

Movement, chronograph and key specifications
Tudor specifies the Manufacture Calibre MT5813, an automatic mechanical chronograph with COSC certification, a bidirectional rotor, 41 jewels, a silicon balance spring and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz). Its stated power reserve is approximately 70 hours.
- Central hours and minutes, with stop-seconds for setting
- Central chronograph seconds
- 45-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock
- Small seconds at 9 o’clock
- Instantaneous date at 6 o’clock
Monochrome characterizes the MT5813 as based on Breitling B01 architecture and describes it as an integrated chronograph with a column wheel and vertical clutch. That architecture description is the review’s characterization; Tudor’s product sheet lists the calibre specifications and functions but does not make that claim.

These are historical 2021 launch figures, and the Swiss amounts distinguish bracelet from strap configurations. The cited pages do not establish today’s retail price, availability or secondary-market value, so check a current listing for the exact reference and configuration before making a purchase decision.
Bracelet and strap choices
Tudor’s 2021 sheet lists three attachment options: a riveted 316L steel bracelet, a black leather strap with removable bund and folding clasp, or a black fabric strap with buckle. The historical Swiss launch prices differed by bracelet versus strap, so the bracelet price should not be applied to every configuration.

2021 video review
Monochrome Watches published its written 79360N hands-on review on April 20, 2021. Its accompanying video, “REVIEW: The New Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda and Reversed Panda 79360N”, was published April 19, 2021. The video description presents the watch as part of Tudor’s 2021 collection and discusses the case, bezel, dial and movement update. It is a dated review, not a source for current stock or buying prices.
