Apple Watch Series 10: the new generation
Series 10 was the new numbered Apple Watch generation announced in 2024. Apple described it as thinner than prior models, with the largest and most advanced Apple Watch display to that date, faster charging, sleep apnea notifications, and water-depth and water-temperature sensing. These are Apple’s announcement claims, not independent test results.
Sizes, finishes, and bands
Series 10 came in 42mm and 46mm sizes. Apple listed aluminum finishes in jet black, rose gold, and silver, and titanium finishes in natural, gold, and slate. Apple also listed Apple Watch Hermès in 42mm and 46mm silver titanium.

Apple stated that older 41mm and 45mm bands are compatible with the new 42mm and 46mm cases, and that new 42mm and 46mm bands are compatible with older Apple Watch models. Check third-party listings for compatibility with your specific watch before buying.

Apple Watch Ultra 2: a finish and options update
Apple announced Ultra 2 in black titanium, not a new Ultra generation. The update also brought black hardware options for Trail Loop, Alpine Loop, and Ocean Band, a Titanium Milanese Loop available in natural and black titanium, and Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 2. These options became available starting September 20, 2024.
Apple specified up to 36 hours of battery life in regular use and up to 72 hours in Low Power Mode for Ultra 2. These are Apple-published specifications, not independent test results. Apple also said the watch uses 95 percent recycled titanium.
