Which Rolex 1908 is the platinum model?
The platinum version is the Rolex Perpetual 1908, reference 52506. Rolex’s US product page identifies the specific configuration described here as M52506-0003. Other 1908 configurations should not be assumed to share this case material or dial: Rolex identifies 950 platinum as the alloy used for the platinum version and highlights its ice-blue rice-grain dial as a distinctive treatment in the Perpetual collection.
What are its case and dial specifications?
39 mm platinum case
Rolex specifies a 39 mm polished platinum case, a domed and fluted bezel, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a transparent domed caseback. The listed water resistance is 50 metres (165 feet). Ice-blue rice-grain dial
The ice-blue dial has a three-dimensional guilloché rice-grain motif that spreads outward from the small-seconds counter at 6 o’clock. Rolex also describes the minute track’s border as guilloché. The dial treatment is a defining visual detail of this platinum configuration, not a description of every Rolex 1908.

Movement, precision and power reserve
Reference 52506 uses Rolex manufacture calibre 7140, a mechanical self-winding movement. Rolex lists approximately 66 hours of power reserve and after-casing precision of −2/+2 seconds per day, and identifies the watch as a Superlative Chronometer. Strap and clasp
