Elvis Presley’s watch choices ranged from diamond-set luxury to sculptural gold and space-age asymmetry. Three watches—the Tiffany-signed Omega Constellation, the Rolex King Midas and Hamilton Ventura—show how differently he could interpret unconventional style. Their histories also differ: one is tied to a reported trade, one to a rodeo presentation, and one to a film role and a watchmaker’s museum collection.
Three unconventional Elvis watches at a glance
| Watch | What makes it unconventional | Documented connection to Elvis |
|---|---|---|
| Omega Constellation | 18k white gold, a Tiffany & Co. signature and 44 brilliant-cut diamonds around the bezel | Phillips says RCA Victor presented it to Elvis in connection with his 75-million-record milestone; the later owner’s account says Elvis traded it for a diamond-studded Hamilton. |
| Rolex King Midas | A sharply angular, solid 18k-gold design by Gérald Genta | Phillips documents presentation of no. 343 to Elvis after six consecutive sold-out Astrodome performances in 1970; the watch is displayed at Graceland. |
| Hamilton Ventura | A dramatically asymmetric case designed by Richard Arbib | Hamilton says Elvis wore a Ventura in Blue Hawaii and that his personal white-gold example is now in the company’s museum collection. |
Omega Constellation: diamonds, Tiffany and a reported trade
The Omega is the most overtly decorative of the three. Phillips identifies it as an 18k white-gold Constellation with manually wound calibre 510, a Tiffany & Co. signature and 44 brilliant-cut diamonds around the bezel. The combination makes it less a discreet timekeeper than a piece of jewelry with a prestigious watch movement inside.
Phillips says RCA Victor gave the watch to Elvis in 1960 in connection with his 75-million-record milestone. The route by which it left his possession is less firmly established: Phillips reports the later owner’s account that an admirer was wearing a diamond-studded Hamilton when Elvis proposed a swap. That is the owner’s provenance story as relayed by the auction house, not an independently verified eyewitness account.
Phillips reported that the Omega sold for 1.8 million Swiss francs at the 2018 Geneva Watch Auction: SEVEN. That is the reported result of that 2018 sale, not an indication of current market value or routine availability.

Rolex King Midas: a gold presentation watch with a dramatic silhouette
The King Midas takes a different route to audacity: its case and bracelet form an angular, solid-gold statement. Phillips describes Gérald Genta’s design as introduced in the early 1960s, inspired by Greek mythology and architecture, and made in solid 18k gold.
Elvis’s example was King Midas no. 343. Phillips says officers of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo presented it to him after six consecutive sold-out performances at the Astrodome in 1970. Its catalogue also says the watch remains on display at Graceland.

- SMALL SIZE - some say it's TINY, the title says it's MINI, it's so small so that it easily fits in the palm of a child's hand, the unit measures 2.5" x 2.0" x 1.75", the size of the credit card you are holding in your hand!
- FAMILY GIFT – music boxes make memorable gifts for women, men, girls, boys, mom, dad, son, daughter or any loved family member, they are even good for showing teacher appreciation as a jewelry box or merch décor and as a hand crank music box, fine for a birthday, holiday, anniversary, wedding, Mother's Day, Christmas, Father’s Day and Valentine's Day
- CHERISHED GIFT - nice present anyone could wish for, fine for a birthday, holiday, Christmas and especially with those who are lovers of nature with fairies and butterflies
- DECOR – this Elvis Presley mini music box will delight any gift recipient as it will compliment any merchandise collection since it decorates their table or shelf and makes a nice fairy conversation decor so you can show your favorite gifts collection
- HAND CRANK - this unit plays the 18 note song ONLY while you turn the handle, this is not a "Wind Up" music box, playing the song in a steady but slow pace lasts about 30 seconds, and then you can repeat it
Phillips described the six-show audience as close to 200,000 spectators in its 2026 catalogue. That is the auction house’s figure, rather than an independently established attendance count. The catalogue also documents a related King Midas presented to M.C. “Buddy” Bray in 1972, with original photographs of both presentations. Bray’s watch is a sister example, not Elvis’s no. 343.
Hamilton Ventura: an asymmetric design made for the future
Where the Omega is ornate and the King Midas imposing, the Ventura looks deliberately futuristic. Hamilton credits industrial designer Richard Arbib with its dramatically asymmetric case and says it was unlike any watch made before. Elvis wore a Ventura in the 1961 film Blue Hawaii; Hamilton says his frequent appearances with the design helped collectors call it “the Elvis watch.”

Hamilton states that Elvis’s personal white-gold Ventura was auctioned by Graceland in 1999 and is now held in Hamilton’s museum collection with its original receipt. The model’s original launch price was $200, according to Hamilton’s retrospective account of its introduction; that historical figure is not a current price.
The Ventura returned as a recreation in 1988 and has remained in production, according to Hamilton. A modern Hamilton Ventura watch is therefore a contemporary model, not Elvis’s personal, museum-held watch.

What these three watches reveal about Elvis’s style
These watches are not a ranking, and they do not tell the same story. The Omega’s diamond bezel and Tiffany signature show a taste for conspicuous decoration; the King Midas turns gold into a sharp, architectural form; the Ventura embraces a silhouette that looked unconventional even beside the bold designs of its era. Their provenance is just as varied: a reported exchange, a documented presentation, and a film appearance linked to an object now held by its maker.
