5 Android Bluetooth Trackers to Buy Instead of Apple AirTag (2nd Gen)

Choose an Android tracker by finding network, exact model compatibility, and the shape that suits your item. Google lists several Find Hub options, while Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is for compatible Samsung phone owners; none of these Bluetooth trackers is standalone GPS.

The best AirTag alternative for Android depends first on your phone and the tracker’s finding network. Google lists the Motorola Moto Tag 2, Pebblebee Clip 5, Chipolo POP, Pebblebee Card 5, and other models for Find Hub; Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is for Samsung phone owners. These are Bluetooth trackers, not GPS devices, and network-based updates depend on nearby participating devices.

This guide compares five options by compatibility and form factor, not by a controlled hands-on ranking. Check the exact model and local availability before buying: Google warns that availability, features, and specifications can vary by region, carrier, and device.

Comparison: five Android tracker options

Tracker Finding network and compatibility Form factor What to know
Motorola Moto Tag 2 Google Find Hub; listed by Google Tag Verify exact-generation features, phone support, and local availability before purchase.
Pebblebee Clip 5 Google Find Hub; listed by Google Clip-style tracker Do not assume specifications for Clip Universal apply to Clip 5.
Chipolo POP Google Find Hub or Apple Find My, depending on setup Keyring-style tag Tom’s Guide reports a rated 120 dB alarm and no UWB; the alarm figure is a product claim, not a result of this guide’s testing.
Pebblebee Card 5 Google Find Hub; listed by Google Wallet card A card-shaped option for wallets and other slim compartments.
Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 Samsung SmartThings Find; Samsung-phone option Tag Not a universal Android tracker. Confirm current specifications and compatibility with your Galaxy phone.

Google’s Find Hub directory is the source for its listed compatible models. Product availability and features may differ by region, carrier, and device. The comparison does not establish a head-to-head performance ranking.

1. Motorola Moto Tag 2: a Google Find Hub option

Google lists Motorola Moto Tag 2 among Find Hub-compatible products. It is an option to consider if you want a tracker for Google’s network rather than Apple’s Find My. Before buying, confirm that the exact model is available where you live and that its features work with your particular phone.

  • THE EVERYTHING TRACKER: Protect lost or stolen stuff and make family life easier. Attach to everyday things like keys, water bottles, or bags
  • STAY SAFE WITH SOS: Discreetly trigger an SOS alert to your loved ones in unsafe situations

  • FIND YOUR PHONE: Phone hiding under a cushion? Use your Tile to make it ring — even when silenced
  • USE WITH LIFE360: Add your Tiles to Life360 — a top family connection and safety app – to see everything and everyone on the same map

Do not assume that features advertised for another Moto Tag generation apply to Moto Tag 2. Check the current product listing for the exact model’s battery, water resistance, and nearby-finding features.

2. Pebblebee Clip 5: a listed clip-style tracker

Google lists Pebblebee Clip 5 as Find Hub-compatible. A clip-style tracker can suit keys, bags, or other items that benefit from an attachment point. Confirm the exact model’s charging method and specifications rather than transferring details from a different product in the Pebblebee Clip family.

Pebblebee Clip Universal is a distinct product. Google Store describes that model as rechargeable by USB-C, with a carabiner keyring and a battery claim of up to 12 months per charge. Those specifications are for Clip Universal, not evidence of Clip 5’s specifications.

  • USE WITH LIFE360: Add your Tiles to Life360 — a top family connection and safety app – to see everything and everyone on the same map

3. Chipolo POP: a loud-alert option

Google lists Chipolo POP for Find Hub. Tom’s Guide’s 2026 review reports that POP also supports Apple Find My, has a keyring hole, and has a rated 120 dB alarm. Treat the sound level as a reported product rating, not a promise of how loud it will seem in every setting.

The same Tom’s Guide review says POP lacks UWB and reports relatively short range in its own testing. A review result is not a guarantee of performance in your home or neighborhood. Check the exact model’s current compatibility and setup details before purchase.

4. Pebblebee Card 5: a wallet-card option

Google lists Pebblebee Card 5 as Find Hub-compatible, making it a card-shaped option to consider for a wallet or another slim compartment. Verify availability and the exact product specifications in your region before buying.

Life360 Tile - Bluetooth Tracker, Keys Finder and Item Locator for Keys, Bags and More. Phone Finder. Both iOS and Android Compatible. 4-Pack

Do not confuse Card 5 with Chipolo CARD Point. They are distinct products; the specifications and requirements documented for one should not be attributed to the other.

5. Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2: for Samsung phone owners

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is an ecosystem-specific option for compatible Samsung phone owners, not a general-purpose tag for every Android phone. A secondary guide describes its replaceable CR2032 battery, IP67 rating, and UWB support on compatible Galaxy phones, but those details should be checked against Samsung’s current specifications and your exact phone model.

If you do not use a compatible Samsung phone, start with a Google Find Hub-listed tracker instead. The networks are different, so a Samsung tag is not interchangeable with a Find Hub tracker.

How to choose an Android tracker

  1. Check the finding network. Choose a Find Hub-compatible model for Google’s network, or consider SmartTag2 if you use compatible Samsung Galaxy hardware. A model that supports more than one network may require choosing one during setup.
  2. Confirm the exact model. Product names within one brand family do not prove that every generation or SKU has the same features. Check Google’s directory and the manufacturer’s current listing.
  3. Match the shape to the item. A clip or keyring-style tag can attach to keys and bags; a card-shaped tracker is suited to a wallet or another slim compartment.
  4. Check phone and regional requirements. Google says availability, features, and specifications vary by region, carrier, and device. Chipolo’s support documentation for CARD Point specifies Android 9 or later, Google Play Services, Bluetooth, location services, and internet or cellular connectivity; those requirements are for CARD Point, not every tracker in this guide.
  5. Compare the power and nearby-finding details for the exact model. Confirm whether it uses a replaceable battery or recharging, and whether your phone supports any advertised nearby-finding feature.

What Bluetooth trackers can and cannot do

These tags are not standalone GPS or cellular trackers. When a tag is beyond your phone’s direct Bluetooth connection, a finding network may update its location if a participating device detects it. Updates depend on nearby devices, connectivity, and other conditions; they are not continuous GPS tracking or a guarantee that lost property will be recovered.

Nearby ringing, directional finding features such as UWB, and remote network location are different capabilities. A tracker may support one without supporting the others. A 2025 study published in Proceedings on Privacy Enhancing Technologies evaluated Google’s Find My Device Network with several tracker models available to the researchers; it was a network evaluation, not a current product ranking.
