6 Fitness Trackers Under $100 That Actually Work in 2026

The best fitness tracker under $100 depends on your phone, need for GPS, screen preference, and tolerance for subscriptions. These six picks cover passive sleep tracking, Android value, built-in positioning, long battery life, and basic daily activity.

Yes, you can buy a useful fitness tracker for less than $100—but “actually works” should mean dependable trends for steps, sleep, everyday movement, and steady-state exercise, not clinical diagnosis or perfectly accurate calorie totals. The best choice depends mainly on whether you want a screen, built-in route tracking, long battery life, or the simplest phone app.

Our top picks are the Google Fitbit Air for screen-free passive tracking, the Fitbit Inspire 3 for a conventional wellness band, the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 for Android users on a budget, the Amazfit Bip 6 for built-in positioning, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro for hardware value, and the Amazfit Band 7 for basic tracking below $50. Prices below are pre-tax reference prices checked August 12, 2026, and can change with promotions, seller, region, and availability.

Quick comparison

Tracker Reference price Phone compatibility Screen and positioning Advertised battery Best for
Google Fitbit Air $99.99 Phone-dependent Google Health app; verify current phone requirements Screenless; not a standalone running watch Not specified in the supplied product information Passive health and sleep tracking
Fitbit Inspire 3 $99.95 list; seen at $79.95 on promotion Android and iOS Band; outdoor route tracking uses a paired phone Up to 10 days Small, discreet everyday tracker
Samsung Galaxy Fit3 $59.99 U.S. launch price Android only 1.6-inch display; basic workout tracking Up to 13 days Low-cost Android band with a bright screen
Amazfit Bip 6 $79.99 Check current Amazfit phone requirements 1.97-inch AMOLED; built-in positioning Up to 14 days Budget GPS-style smartwatch experience
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro About $89 in current testing coverage Check app-region and seller requirements 1.74-inch AMOLED; independent five-satellite GNSS Up to 21 days light use; 15 days normal use Display, battery, and features per dollar
Amazfit Band 7 $49.99 Check current Amazfit phone requirements 1.47-inch AMOLED; basic band format Up to 18 days Steps, sleep, and low-cost daily wear

If you are starting with a broad fitness trackers search, use the table to eliminate incompatible models first. A low price is not a bargain if the device cannot work with your phone or lacks the positioning, screen, or subscription model you expect.

Methodology: This selection combines official specifications and pricing information with independent hands-on or comparative reviews. The publication did not test all six devices directly. Independent review results reflect each reviewer’s own comparison equipment, fit, workouts, and testing protocol.

1. Google Fitbit Air: best screenless tracker for passive health and sleep

Verdict: The Google Fitbit Air is the most appealing option here for people who want to wear a tracker continuously and review the results later in the Google Health app. At $99.99, it is a screenless wearable built around passive monitoring rather than on-wrist workout controls.

Google lists activity, sleep, heart rate, heart-rate variability, breathing rate, blood oxygen, Cardio Load, Readiness, and AFib-related heart-rhythm tracking among its capabilities. That is a substantial set of trend data for a device that does not constantly call for your attention. The AFib-related feature is not a diagnosis, and blood-oxygen and other wellness readings should not be treated as medical measurements.

Independent testing is encouraging for the Air’s core tracking. TechRadar reported that its onboard heart-rate metrics were generally reliable and close to comparison devices during work, rest, and exercise. Tech Advisor also reported very small deviations from a chest strap during a run. Those findings support the Air as a useful trend tracker, not as a replacement for a chest strap or regulated medical equipment.

Why choose it

  • No bright watch screen to disturb sleep or invite constant checking.
  • Strong emphasis on continuous health and sleep trends.
  • Useful Fitbit metrics such as Cardio Load and Readiness are available alongside basic activity data.
  • Core tracking is included rather than making the hardware unusable without a subscription.

What to watch out for

  • There is no on-device display, so you need your phone to inspect results.
  • It is phone-dependent and is not a standalone running watch.
  • Google Health Premium adds AI coaching and deeper insights, so the most elaborate interpretation features may carry an ongoing cost after any applicable trial or offer.

Choose the Air if you value wearing comfort, sleep tracking, and a low-distraction experience more than seeing pace, notifications, or workout data on your wrist.

2. Fitbit Inspire 3: best conventional wellness band

Verdict: The Fitbit Inspire 3 remains the safest all-around recommendation for a first-time buyer who wants a small band, a mature app, and dependable long-term wellness trends. Its $99.95 list price has appeared at $79.95 during promotions, making it especially attractive when discounted.

The Inspire 3 works with Android and iOS and tracks heart rate, steps, Active Zone Minutes, stress, blood oxygen, sleep, and menstrual-health information. Fitbit advertises up to 10 days of battery life. It does not have built-in GPS, so route tracking for outdoor walks and runs depends on a paired phone.

Sleep is its strongest area in the available independent coverage. Wareable’s July 2026 review reported that the Inspire 3’s sleep tracking compared favorably with a Whoop 4.0. Tom’s Guide likewise highlighted its broad coverage of heart rate, steps, calories, Active Zone Minutes, stress, blood oxygen, and sleep for less than $100. These are useful indicators of patterns; they do not make the device a clinical sleep monitor.

Why choose it

  • Small and discreet enough for continuous daily and overnight wear.
  • Compatible with both Android and iPhone, unlike the Galaxy Fit3.
  • Fitbit’s app presents a broad range of health and activity trends in one place.
  • Strong independent coverage for sleep tracking.

What to watch out for

  • No built-in GPS; outdoor routes require the phone to come along.
  • Some deeper insights and coaching are part of Fitbit Premium after the included trial where applicable.
  • Do not buy it expecting smartwatch-style notifications, a large display, or advanced training analysis.

For most people who want a straightforward band rather than a watch, the Fitbit Inspire 3 is the least complicated choice. If the list price is close to $100, check whether a promotion is available before ordering.

3. Samsung Galaxy Fit3: best low-cost Android band

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy Fit3 offers the most features per dollar for Android users who want a bright display and long battery life without paying smartwatch prices. Samsung announced a U.S. price of $59.99.

The Fit3 has a 1.6-inch display, up to 13 days of advertised battery life, IP68 protection, and 5ATM water resistance. Its listed features include heart-rate monitoring and alerts, stress, blood oxygen, sleep, automatic workout detection, menstrual-cycle tracking, fall detection, SOS, and phone controls.

TechRadar’s hands-on review compared the Fit3 with a Garmin Forerunner 265 for fitness and sleep tracking and characterized it as a bargain tracker that covers the basics. That is the right way to view it: a convenient daily band with useful activity and wellness information, not a high-end sports watch.

The compatibility warning matters

Samsung states that the Galaxy Fit3 is compatible only with Android phones. It is therefore not a suitable recommendation for iPhone owners, even if the hardware and price look appealing. Before buying, confirm that your particular Android phone meets Samsung’s current requirements.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The Fit3 also cannot measure body composition and does not perform an ECG. Its heart-rate, blood-oxygen, sleep, and other wellness readings should not be interpreted as medical-grade results.

Pick the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 if you use Android—especially if you already live in Samsung’s ecosystem—and want a readable screen, automatic activity tracking, phone controls, and a battery that can last nearly two weeks. Pick the Inspire 3 instead if you use an iPhone or prefer Fitbit’s cross-platform app.

4. Amazfit Bip 6: best budget smartwatch-style tracker with built-in positioning

Verdict: The Amazfit Bip 6 is the strongest choice for runners, walkers, and casual athletes who want route tracking and workout information on the wrist without moving into $150-plus sports watches. Amazfit lists it at $79.99.

Its 1.97-inch AMOLED display is much more watch-like than the screen on a narrow band. The Bip 6 includes built-in positioning, more than 140 workout modes, heart-rate and sleep tracking, AI coaching, 5ATM water resistance, and up to 14 days of battery life. Built-in positioning means you can record routes without carrying the phone during an outdoor workout, although the experience should not be assumed to match a premium multisport watch.

Android Authority described the Bip 6 as an $80 budget Apple Watch alternative. Wareable reported a good balance of features and accuracy, while its coverage of the previous Bip 5 gave that model four stars. Those comparisons support the Bip 6 as a feature-rich budget watch, but they do not establish premium-level GPS or wrist-heart-rate performance.

Why choose it

  • Large AMOLED screen for workout information, notifications, and watch-like use.
  • Built-in positioning for route tracking without a phone in hand or pocket.
  • More than 140 workout modes and a long advertised battery life.
  • Better fit than a basic band for people who want to see data while exercising.

What to watch out for

  • Budget GPS and optical sensors can be less consistent than premium watch hardware or a chest strap.
  • Workout modes are not the same as advanced sport-specific analysis.
  • App quality and the way it explains data matter as much as the specification list.

If your priority is a screen and onboard route tracking under $100, the Amazfit Bip 6 is the clearest pick. If you mainly want sleep and passive health trends, the smaller Fitbit options are more focused.

5. Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro: best hardware value, with regional caveats

Verdict: The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro offers the most impressive combination of display size, battery life, sports features, and onboard positioning in this group—provided you can buy it from a trustworthy seller with acceptable regional support. Current testing coverage places it at about $89.

Xiaomi’s specifications list a 1.74-inch AMOLED display, independent five-satellite GNSS, more than 150 sports modes, heart-rate, blood-oxygen, and stress monitoring, and 5ATM water resistance. Xiaomi advertises up to 21 days of light-use battery life or 15 days under its stated normal-use scenario. Those are laboratory or defined-scenario estimates, not a promise that every owner will see the same result; display brightness, notifications, workout recording, and sensor use all affect endurance.

Tom’s Guide tested the Smart Band 10 Pro for a month and described it as an approximately $89 device with strong workout, sleep, battery, and smartwatch functionality. That review also characterized the tested experience as subscription-free, which makes the feature set easier to budget for than a device whose deeper analysis requires a recurring plan.

Check the purchase channel before checking out

The important limitation is regional rather than purely technical. Xiaomi’s global product information does not establish the same U.S. retail, warranty, app-support, and returns footprint as Google, Samsung, or Amazfit. A marketplace listing can be legitimate, but gray-market availability is not equivalent to official U.S. distribution.

For the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, verify all of the following at the specific listing:

  • Who the seller is and where the item ships from.
  • Whether the warranty is valid in your country.
  • Whether returns go through a practical local process.
  • Whether the companion app and the watch’s features work in your region.
  • Whether the listed version is compatible with the phone and language settings you use.

Buy it when display, battery, and onboard GNSS matter more than having the most established local support network. Skip it if warranty and returns are difficult to verify.

6. Amazfit Band 7: best inexpensive basic band

Verdict: The Amazfit Band 7 is the best sub-$50 option for steps, sleep, everyday movement, and low-cost always-on wear—so long as you do not need fast, precise heart-rate response during intervals.

Amazfit lists the Band 7 at $49.99. It has a 1.47-inch AMOLED display, up to 18 days of battery life, 120 sports modes, 5ATM water resistance, heart-rate, sleep, blood-oxygen, stress, and menstrual-cycle tracking, plus built-in Alexa.

TechGearLab found reasonable sleep-pattern and heart-rate-trend performance. Its review reported more than 93% comparison accuracy overall, but also observed delays of up to 30 seconds in real-time heart-rate response. That distinction is crucial: a device can be useful for identifying broad patterns while still being a poor tool for watching rapidly changing intensity during intervals.

Why choose it

  • Very low purchase price.
  • Long advertised battery life and a useful color display.
  • Good fit for basic activity, sleep, and trend tracking.
  • Alexa and a large list of sports modes add convenience without turning it into a premium sports watch.

What to watch out for

  • Heart-rate response can lag during fast-changing workouts.
  • Do not choose it for serious interval training or precise live intensity control.
  • As with the other models, blood-oxygen and wellness features are not medical tools.

The Amazfit Band 7 is a sensible inexpensive band, but the Bip 6 is worth the extra money if you need onboard positioning or a larger watch-style display.

What “actually works” means with a budget tracker

All six devices can be useful, but none should be judged by whether every individual reading matches a laboratory instrument. Wrist trackers use optical sensors and algorithms, and their readings vary with fit, movement, exercise type, physiology, and device placement. A steady walk may produce a more useful heart-rate trend than a set of fast intervals. A quiet night may produce more consistent sleep information than a night of unusual movement.

Use these devices to answer practical questions:

  • Am I moving more or less than I did last week?
  • Is my resting or overnight heart-rate trend changing?
  • Does my sleep schedule appear more regular?
  • How long and how consistently did I exercise?
  • Do I need a reminder to stand, walk, or take a recovery day?

Do not use them to diagnose atrial fibrillation, sleep apnea, illness, or any other condition. Do not treat a blood-oxygen alert as a diagnosis, and do not assume that calorie estimates are exact. If a reading concerns you, repeat it with an appropriate medical device or discuss it with a qualified clinician.

How to choose the right one

Choose the phone ecosystem first

Compatibility can eliminate a model immediately. The Galaxy Fit3 is Android-only. The Inspire 3 supports Android and iOS. The Air relies heavily on the Google Health app and a phone. For Amazfit and Xiaomi models, check the current app, operating-system, region, and language requirements on the exact listing before purchase rather than relying on a retailer’s short specification panel.

Decide whether you need a screen

The Google Fitbit Air is the only screenless option here and is best for people who want to check data later. The Inspire 3 and Amazfit Band 7 are discreet bands with smaller displays. The Galaxy Fit3, Bip 6, and Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro are better if you want to see workout information, notifications, or progress without reaching for your phone.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Decide whether you need onboard route tracking

The Amazfit Bip 6 and Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro are the clearest choices when independent positioning matters. The Inspire 3 explicitly relies on a paired phone for outdoor route tracking. The Fitbit Air is not a standalone running watch. If route accuracy is central to your training, treat the budget devices as entry-level tools and consider whether a dedicated running watch or chest strap would better match your requirements.

Compare battery claims realistically

Battery estimates are not directly comparable. A tracker promising 21 days may be using light-use conditions, while normal use, frequent GPS recording, brighter screens, notifications, and continuous sensor measurements reduce runtime. Xiaomi specifically distinguishes its 21-day light-use estimate from a 15-day normal-use scenario. Consider the charging routine you will actually tolerate, especially if sleep tracking is important.

Separate included tracking from paid interpretation

Fitbit’s core tracking is included, but Google Health Premium adds AI coaching and deeper insights for the Air, and Fitbit Premium supplies some deeper insights and coaching for the Inspire 3. That does not make either device unusable without a subscription; it does change the total cost if you want the most elaborate analysis. The price at checkout is only part of the ownership decision.

Buying checklist

  1. Confirm the phone: Do not buy the Galaxy Fit3 for an iPhone, and check current app requirements for every other model.
  2. Confirm the exact seller: This is especially important for the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, where regional warranty and returns may vary.
  3. Check the included charger: Proprietary charging cables are easy to misplace. If you buy an extra, match the exact model; a generic fitness tracker charging cable may not fit.
  4. Check band compatibility: If you expect to change the look or fit, search for the exact model, such as a Fitbit Inspire 3 replacement band or an Amazfit Band 7 charger, rather than assuming accessories are interchangeable.
  5. Check the return policy: Wrist comfort and sensor performance can vary by person, so a practical return window matters.
  6. Set expectations: Buy a budget tracker for consistent trends and reminders, not medical diagnosis or perfect live workout data.

Our ranking by buyer need

  • Best for passive tracking: Google Fitbit Air.
  • Best traditional fitness band: Fitbit Inspire 3.
  • Best Android bargain: Samsung Galaxy Fit3.
  • Best built-in positioning at this price: Amazfit Bip 6.
  • Best display, battery, and features: Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, if regional support checks out.
  • Best under $50: Amazfit Band 7, if you accept slower real-time heart-rate response.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are fitness trackers under $100 accurate enough to be useful?

Yes, for ordinary activity, sleep patterns, resting-heart-rate trends, and steady-state exercise. Optical heart-rate readings can vary with fit, movement, exercise type, physiology, and placement, so treat the results as estimates and trends rather than clinical measurements or guaranteed calorie totals.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Which of these trackers can record routes without a phone?

The Amazfit Bip 6 has built-in positioning, and the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro has independent five-satellite GNSS. The Fitbit Inspire 3 does not have built-in GPS and uses a paired phone for outdoor routes. The Fitbit Air is phone-dependent and is not a standalone running watch.

Does a Fitbit require a subscription?

Core tracking on the Google Fitbit Air is included, while Google Health Premium adds AI coaching and deeper insights. The Inspire 3 also works as a tracker without Premium, but some deeper insights and coaching require the paid service after any applicable trial or promotion.

Can these trackers diagnose a health condition?

No. Blood-oxygen, heart-rate, sleep, stress, and related features are wellness tools that can help identify patterns. They should not be used to diagnose atrial fibrillation, sleep apnea, illness, or another condition. Discuss concerning readings with a qualified clinician.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: Buy the Google Fitbit Air for the best screen-free passive tracking, the Fitbit Inspire 3 for the most dependable conventional band experience, the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 for Android value, and the Amazfit Bip 6 when onboard route tracking matters. The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro has the strongest hardware-value case if you can verify regional support, while the Amazfit Band 7 is the economical choice for basic trends—not fast-changing workout intensity.
