The nine Garmin Black Friday offers in the matching Tom’s Guide article are historical prices from November 21, 2025—not deals verified as available now. Its headline’s “shop now” wording is stale. On October 8, 2026, the available evidence does not establish a current Garmin Black Friday offer or a current lowest-ever price for the Forerunner 265. Use the prices below as dated reference points, and check a retailer’s live listing and price history before buying.
Are these Garmin Black Friday deals available now?
No current availability is established. Tom’s Guide writer Nick Harris-Fry reported the offers on November 21, 2025. A separate Gadgets & Wearables roundup covered Amazon discounts around Prime Big Deal Days on October 6–7, 2026; that event had ended by October 8 and does not confirm an offer afterward. The nine prices here are useful as a historical comparison, not as live quotes.
Before treating any listing as a deal, verify the exact model and size, the seller, stock, checkout price, and offer dates. A product page or past sale does not establish that the same price is available today.
All nine prices reported in November 2025
Every “sale price” and “was” price in this table is Tom’s Guide’s November 21, 2025 report, not a current price. The comparison reflects the article’s descriptions, not an independent product test.

Which of the nine was the strongest deal?
Forerunner 265: the standout markdown in that 2025 roundup
At the time of publication, Tom’s Guide listed the Forerunner 265 at $299 rather than $449—a reported $150 reduction—and called it a return to its cheapest-ever price. Harris-Fry wrote: “I hoped the Forerunner 265 would drop by $100 in the sales, so this $150 saving is an incredible deal for a fantastic AMOLED multisport watch.” That was his November 2025 assessment of that offer, not evidence of a record price or recommendation today. Confirm a current price against reliable recent price history before calling it a lowest-ever deal.

Other picks depend on what you need
- For a more basic running option: the Forerunner 55 was the entry-level choice in the roundup; the Forerunner 165 line added an AMOLED display, with the Music version’s reported price higher than the standard model’s.
- For deeper training features: the Forerunner 265 and 965 were presented as multisport watches with analysis and tracking; the 965 also had navigation features.
- For a rugged or outdoor focus: the Instinct 3, Epix Pro, Fenix 7X Pro, and Fenix 8 were the adventure-oriented choices described in the article. Compare display type, size, and navigation needs rather than markdown alone.
- For an especially thin design: the Venu X1 was the article’s ultra-thin option, but its lack of dual-band GPS may matter if that capability is a priority.
Forerunner 165 or 265: how to compare them
The 2025 article framed the 165 as an entry-level AMOLED running watch and the 265 as an AMOLED multisport watch with training analysis and tracking. It listed the standard 165 at $199 and the 165 Music at $249, while the 265 was $299. Those are dated prices; the useful comparison is the role each model was given, not the old dollar gap. Choose based on the activities and training features you need, then compare like-for-like versions at current checkout prices.
Is the Fenix 8 worth more than the older adventure models?
The 2025 roundup listed the steel Fenix 8 at $749 and a titanium version at $849, compared with $549 for the Epix Pro and Fenix 7X Pro. That snapshot alone cannot establish whether the Fenix 8 is worth the premium: the article identifies distinct design and display considerations, but does not provide a controlled comparison of the models. Weigh the specific model, material, display preference, navigation requirements, and verified current prices. Do not assume an older model’s large markdown makes it the better fit—or that a higher-priced Fenix 8 is automatically better value.

How to judge a Garmin sale before buying
- Match the exact configuration. Check model name, size, display variant, and materials; names such as “Music,” “X,” and “Pro” can distinguish materially different versions.
- Check the live checkout total. Confirm the seller, stock, shipping, and price for the configuration you intend to buy. The article’s historical Amazon links do not prove that a current listing is available or that its seller is reliable.
- Compare with recent price history. A claimed discount from a reference price is not, by itself, proof of a good deal. Treat “lowest ever” as a time-sensitive price-history claim.
- Choose by use, not markdown size. Prioritize running and training needs, navigation, ruggedness, display preference, and watch size before deciding whether a sale price is compelling.
For seasonal context only, Gadgets & Wearables’ October 5, 2026 coverage concerns Amazon Prime Big Deal Days on October 6–7. It does not verify a Garmin discount on October 8.
