What was the watch?
It was a custom Tudor Black Bay associated with Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour, rather than a standard retail Black Bay. In its 2021 report, Time+Tide Watches said the watches were issued to tour crew members and had a Divide Tour logo on the dial, including a blue division symbol above the 6 o’clock marker.

What does the $50,000 figure mean?
Time+Tide reported a $50,000 USD asking price for Delray Watch Supply’s listing and said the listing had sold. It did not report a receipt, buyer confirmation, auction result, or final transaction amount. A sold listing establishes that the listing was no longer available, but it does not establish that the watch changed hands for the full asking price—or disclose any other amount paid.

How rare was the Divide Tour edition?
Time+Tide reported that 80 examples were made and that Delray Watch Supply had obtained two. Those are the publication’s reported figures; the article does not provide production records or inventory documentation to verify them independently.
A tour connection, custom dial details, and a reported limited run help explain collector interest. They do not, by themselves, establish what this particular watch was worth: the report does not give a confirmed transaction price or enough information about condition and provenance to support an independent valuation.

What about the comparison with another Tudor?
The article mentioned an OnlyWatch ceramic Black Bay reported to have sold for 350,000 CHF. That is a separate watch and a contextual comparison, not a comparable confirmed sale for the Ed Sheeran tour edition. It cannot be used to infer the Divide Tour watch’s realized price.
