Which watches were announced on 5 September 2025?
The manufacturer’s dated press archive lists both releases on 5 September 2025: the 1815 TOURBILLON at 08:50 and the RICHARD LANGE JUMPING SECONDS at 08:53, in Europe/Amsterdam time. The brand’s live current novelties page displays other watches, so it is not a reliable list of the September 2025 announcements. 1815 TOURBILLON: a tourbillon with precise setting functions
The 1815 TOURBILLON places its tourbillon in an aperture at six o’clock. Pulling the crown stops the movement’s seconds; ZERO-RESET then sends the seconds hand instantly to zero, allowing the wearer to align the minute hand with a minute marker. Together, those functions are intended to make setting more exact, rather than merely display the tourbillon.

The manually wound calibre L102.1 has a stated 72-hour power reserve and runs at 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour. The manufacturer highlights a black-polished tourbillon bridge and upper cage. Its 39.5 mm platinum case is 11.3 mm high, and the watch is limited to 50 pieces.
The black grand-feu enamel dial is made at the manufacture. A. Lange & Söhne says it takes several weeks and more than 100 individual procedures to produce. These craft details distinguish the watch visually as well as mechanically, but the release does not provide an independent assessment of its accuracy.

RICHARD LANGE JUMPING SECONDS: a one-second rhythm
The RICHARD LANGE JUMPING SECONDS is built around the seconds display. Its constant-force escapement is described by the manufacturer as delivering a uniform amount of energy throughout the power reserve. The escapement’s one-second impulse also drives the seconds hand, which jumps 60 times per minute. The release explains the design intent; it does not establish independently measured rate performance.
ZERO-RESET sends the seconds hand to zero when the crown is pulled, supporting setting to one-second accuracy. The manually wound L094.1 calibre contains 390 parts. A triangular power-reserve indicator turns red ten hours before the reserve runs out; the cited release does not state the movement’s total reserve.

Which one is the more relevant choice?
- For the tourbillon: the 1815 TOURBILLON makes the rotating mechanism its focal point and adds both stop seconds and ZERO-RESET. Its black enamel dial and smaller 50-piece edition set it apart.
- For a seconds-focused display: the RICHARD LANGE JUMPING SECONDS makes each second an explicit jump and links that indication to a constant-force escapement. Its white-gold and pink-gold palette is distinct from the 1815’s platinum and black enamel.
- For case proportions: the RICHARD LANGE is 0.4 mm wider but 0.7 mm thinner by the stated dimensions. Those measurements alone do not establish how either watch wears on a particular wrist.
