Its three threads are the Hamilton Boulton worn by Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, a reported customer lawsuit against a Patek Philippe store over its waitlist, and a segment on the Unimatic x South Park watch that carries the label “IP Uh-Ohs.” The film watch is well documented by Hamilton and the Swiss watch industry federation. The Patek case is a reported allegation with no outcome in the coverage cited here. The Unimatic segment cannot be characterised from the episode title and listing alone.
What the episode covers
The episode listing describes a discussion that touches several subjects. Its highlights, as published, include:
- Indiana Jones and a watch enthusiast’s view of the film
- A customer lawsuit involving a Patek Philippe store waitlist
- Dubai Watch Week 2023, previewed at the time of recording; that event has since passed
- Watch releases, including the Tudor Black Bay GMT
- The Unimatic x South Park watch and the large comment section it generated
The listing gives segment highlights only. It does not include a transcript or segment timestamps, so the points below rely on the listing and on the public statements of the parties named in each section.
The Indiana Jones watch: the Hamilton Boulton
The watch Indiana Jones wears in Dial of Destiny is the Hamilton Boulton. Hamilton’s official product page says the brand worked closely with Ben Wilkinson of the film’s prop team to make sure the watch fit the period of the costumes designed by Joanna Johnston. That is Hamilton describing its own collaboration, not an independent test of how accurate the watch is to the film.

The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry issued a notice on June 22, 2023 that also identifies the Boulton as Indiana Jones’s watch. The same notice says the character Renaldo wears a custom Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba. Two separate Hamilton models therefore appear in the film, and only the Boulton is the watch readers are usually asking about.
Matching a current Boulton to the film watch
Buying a Boulton today means choosing a reference, and the sources used here do not establish which current reference corresponds to the on-screen piece. Before buying, compare these points against the watch you saw in the film:
Rank #2
- TIMELESS COMFORT: An instant classic, Carraway watches for men are thoughtfully designed down to every last detail; with a two-layered dial, curved-for-your-wrist case & a leather strap with soft nubuck lining, it's as timeless as it is comfortable
- CASE & MOVEMENT: 30mm case, 22mm band width, hardened mineral crystal lens resists scratches, accurate Quartz movement with 3-hand analog watch display, imported men's Fossil watch
- DIAL: One of many Fossil watches for men, this quartz watch features a rectangle cream stainless steel case, with a silver two-layered dial and black accents
- WRIST WATCH BAND: Brown embossed genuine leather band with a secure adjustable buckle closure for a customized fit; interchangeable with all Fossil 22mm straps
- WATER RESISTANT MEN'S WATCHES: Up to 50m (165ft); wearable for short periods of recreational swimming and showering, but not diving or snorkeling; 5 ATM
- Reference number: confirm the exact reference on Hamilton’s current site rather than relying on the product name alone.
- Case size and shape: compare published case dimensions and the case profile in photographs, since a close look at the film is not a measurement.
- Movement: check whether the reference you are considering is mechanical or quartz, because the film’s on-screen watch is not described in terms of its movement in these sources.
- Dial and strap: the period look depends on dial colour, markers and strap; these details differ between references and are not standardised across the line.
- Regional availability: stock and pricing vary by market, and this article does not establish either for any country.
- New or vintage: decide whether you want a current production reference or a vintage example, since they are different purchases with different condition and documentation questions.
The Khaki Navy Scuba mentioned by the Federation is a custom piece for a secondary character. It is a reference point for the film’s watch styling, not a substitute for the Boulton.
The Patek Philippe store lawsuit
The episode listing links to a WatchPro article headlined “Patek Philippe Store Sued After Customer Claims He Was Duped.” A WatchPro issue from July 2023 reports the suit at $500,000. That figure is the amount the report gives for the customer’s claim, not an award, a settlement, or a valuation of any loss.

What is reported
The reported dispute concerns a customer who says he was misled in the context of a Patek Philippe store waitlist. The episode title’s “Patek waiting game” refers to that waitlist. The listing and the WatchPro report present the customer’s account as an allegation.
What is not established
- No court finding, ruling, or final disposition appears in the coverage cited here.
- Neither the customer’s claims nor any response from the store is confirmed by the sources used.
- The coverage does not provide data on how long Patek Philippe waitlists typically run, so no general wait-time conclusion can be drawn from this case.
The Unimatic x South Park watch and the “IP Uh-Ohs” label
The listing names the Unimatic x South Park watch and refers to a “mountainous comment section,” and it associates the “IP Uh-Ohs” phrase with that discussion. It does not describe what intellectual property issue, if any, was raised, who raised it, or how it was resolved.

What the title does and does not tell you
The title alone does not establish an infringement claim, a takedown, a settlement, or a licensing dispute. Those are possible readings of a phrase like “IP Uh-Ohs,” but the listing does not confirm any of them. A reliable account would require the episode audio or a transcript, neither of which was used for this article.
If you are considering the Unimatic watch as a collectible
Whether the watch is currently available and whether its licensing is in order are both outside what the sources here establish. Check current availability directly with the brand or an authorised retailer, and review the licensing information for the product yourself before buying.
