The Alpina × Fratello Alpiner Extreme Regulator is a 99-piece collaboration built around a regulator display: its orange central hand shows minutes, while separate subdials show hours at 10 o’clock and running seconds at 6 o’clock. Introduced on February 7, 2025, as reference AL-650GB4AE6B, it pairs that time-only layout with a 41 mm steel case, automatic AL-650 movement and 200 m water resistance.
What makes the dial a regulator?
Unlike a conventional watch dial, where the hour and minute hands share the center, this Alpina separates those readings. The large orange central hand tracks minutes; the small dial at 10 o’clock displays hours, and the subdial at 6 o’clock displays running seconds. There is no date display. The charcoal-grey dial has a triangular pattern, luminous markers and the orange minute hand as its most prominent accent.
The layout gives the minutes the visual emphasis, but it asks the wearer to read the hour from a separate small dial. The sources describe the design, but do not provide comparative readability testing against conventional dials or other regulator watches.

Fratello gives the case diameter, lug-to-lug length and thickness as 41 × 49.5 × 12 mm. Alpina’s UK product page instead states 41 × 42.50 mm and 12 mm high. Because the pages use different figures without explaining their measurement conventions, the measurements should be read with their source attribution rather than treated as interchangeable.

Movement and everyday-use context
Alpina identifies the movement as the AL-650; Fratello describes it as a modified Sellita SW461 based on the SW461. The published specifications are automatic winding, 31 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 38-hour power reserve. The sources do not establish a comparative performance advantage over other movements.
Fratello positions the watch as a sporty everyday option. Its author, Robert-Jan Broer, reported that the 41 mm diameter, 49.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement and 12 mm thickness sat nicely on his 18 cm wrist. That is his individual fit observation, not a guarantee that the watch will fit similarly on other wrists.

Edition, launch price and current availability
Fratello reported a 99-piece run and an online exclusive launch through Fratello Shop for two weeks from February 7, 2025, at 16:00 CET. Its launch article stated a price of €2,062 excluding VAT. Those details describe the original 2025 offer, not confirmed current availability.
Alpina’s official UK product page currently displays £2,322, taxes included, alongside the status “Sale Coming Soon” (checked October 7, 2026). That page state does not confirm that the watch is in stock, and it does not establish whether the original Fratello launch terms remain applicable. Neither source verifies current stock at Amazon or another retailer.
