What’s new in the Bip 6 update?
Notebookcheck reported on October 5, 2026, that firmware 4.6.0.3 was rolling out globally. Its report, which attributes the update notice to Chinese Smartwatches, lists three changes:
- Manual Rest for Pool Swimming: Manual Rest support has been added to the Pool Swimming algorithm. The report does not explain how to enable it or how rests appear in a recorded workout.
- Adjustments to this week’s Zepp Coach plan: Users can adjust the current week’s training plan within Zepp Coach. The report does not say that all plans are editable or that this update introduces Zepp Coach itself.
- Activity-data synchronization across devices: Activity data can sync across multiple devices. The report does not specify which fields or devices are included, or whether historical data is merged.
Notebookcheck estimates the download at about 12 MB; that is a reported estimate, not a fixed package size confirmed by Amazfit. - Keep the Bip 6 connected to your phone and open the Zepp app.
- Go to Device > Amazfit Bip 6 > General > System Update > System Update.
- If an update is offered, follow the app’s on-screen instructions. Amazfit recommends tapping Update Immediately when the device receives a system-update message.

Why the update may not appear yet
Although Notebookcheck describes the release as global, its report says Amazfit had not confirmed the full rollout plans and that updates can take days to reach users. No region-by-region schedule is established in the cited sources. If version 4.6.0.3 is not offered through the Zepp app, check again later using the same update path; its absence today does not establish that your watch is ineligible.

Which watch is receiving this update?
This firmware story concerns the Amazfit Bip 6 specifically, not other Amazfit models. Amazfit’s product page describes the Bip 6 as a smartwatch with 140+ workout modes and Zepp Coach, connected through the Zepp app. It lists compatibility with Android 7.0 or later and iOS 14.0 or later.
