Omega’s James Bond watch story began with a quartz Seamaster in GoldenEye (1995), but the films have since put several Seamaster families, two watches in Casino Royale, and a purpose-designed 007 Edition on screen. This ranking weighs each watch’s importance to Bond’s screen identity, design distinction, watch interest, collectability, and confidence of identification. It is an editorial order, not an official or consensus ranking. Film-reference identifications are those reported by the cited timelines; some are less certain than others.
Every James Bond Omega watch, ranked
The ranking covers the models and film appearances identified in the cited chronologies. It is not a claim that every close-up, alternate prop, promotional watch, or non-EON appearance has been catalogued. The 2026 Bond/Spectre watches appear in a separate section: they are new collection models, not watches worn in a released film.

Seamaster Professional 300M, ref. 2541.80 — GoldenEye (1995)
This quartz Seamaster earns the top spot for one reason no later model can match: it began Omega’s on-screen Bond era. The watch makes its debut on Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye, and Omega says Bond has worn a Seamaster in every film since. That historical role gives the 2541.80 greater Bond significance than its relatively restrained design might suggest. Omega’s Skyfall announcement traces the partnership to 1995; WatchTime’s film timeline identifies the reference.
-
Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition — No Time to Die (2021)
This is the strongest choice for someone who wants a modern Bond watch rather than simply the earliest one. Omega says Daniel Craig and the filmmakers contributed design input to the titanium model, making it a purpose-designed 007 Edition rather than an ordinary retail Seamaster later associated with a film. Omega states its water resistance as 300 metres / 30 bar. The film identification and release history are covered in Omega’s 2019 007 Edition announcement and WatchTime’s timeline.

Seamaster 300 Spectre — Spectre (2015)
The Seamaster 300 Spectre stands out for its direct connection to the film’s title and its place in the collection of watches identified in Spectre. It is one of two Omega models reported for the movie, alongside an Aqua Terra in the opening sequence. The model-specific film identification comes from WatchTime’s retrospective timeline; the specialist James Bond Watches film list notes that its identifications are a work in progress and vary in confidence.
-
Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M, ref. 2201.50 — Quantum of Solace (2008)
The black-dial Planet Ocean gives Bond a larger, more overtly tool-watch look than the familiar Diver 300M. Omega’s reproduced press-kit description identifies a Planet Ocean 600M with a 600-metre / 60-bar rating; the reference mapping is reported by the cited film timelines. This is a strong pick for viewers who associate Craig’s early Bond with a tougher, sportier Seamaster. See Omega’s Skyfall material, WatchTime, and the James Bond Watches list.

Seamaster Professional, ref. 2531.80 — Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), and Die Another Day (2002)
The automatic 2531.80 carries the classic Brosnan-era Seamaster look through three films. Its repeated appearances make it one of the clearest answers to “Which Omega did Bond wear?” after the original 2541.80. Both WatchTime and the specialist film-watch list identify it in these movies, though the specialist list cautions that its catalogue is still being revised. See WatchTime’s timeline and James Bond Watches.
-
Seamaster Diver 300M, ref. 2220.80 — Casino Royale (2006)
Casino Royale is reported to feature both this Diver 300M and a Planet Ocean. The 2220.80 is the more direct continuation of the classic Seamaster profile, while the Planet Ocean adds a second, more substantial-looking option. Omega’s press-kit text confirms a Seamaster 300 M Diver Chronometer in the film; the precise reference comes from secondary film timelines, so treat it as a reported identification rather than a claim that every screen prop is conclusively authenticated. Sources: Omega’s Casino Royale material, WatchTime, and James Bond Watches.

Seamaster Planet Ocean, ref. 2900.50.91 — Casino Royale (2006)
This is the second Omega identified in Casino Royale, and it gives the film’s watch wardrobe a more substantial alternative to the Diver 300M. The reference is reported in secondary chronologies rather than confirmed in the cited Omega press-kit text. Its place here reflects the interest of that two-watch film pairing, not a claim that one watch is definitively more prominent in every scene. See WatchTime and James Bond Watches.
-
Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M — Skyfall (2012)
Omega describes Bond’s steel-on-steel 42 mm Planet Ocean in its Skyfall material. The screen-used watch requires a qualification: WatchTime reports a titanium-cased watch on screen that differed from the stainless-steel production version. It is therefore misleading to treat the retail steel watch and the on-screen prop as identical. Omega’s description and stated 600-metre / 60-bar water resistance are in Omega’s announcement; the prop distinction is reported by WatchTime.

Aqua Terra — Spectre (2015)
The Aqua Terra is reported in the opening sequence of Spectre, alongside the Seamaster 300 Spectre. It ranks lower because its Bond identity is less central than that of the film-titled Seamaster 300, not because it is an uninteresting watch. The film mapping comes from WatchTime’s timeline; the specialist James Bond Watches list flags varying confidence in its identifications.
How to interpret the film list
The broad sequence is clear: the Omega-era Bond watches begin with the 2541.80 in GoldenEye, continue through the 2531.80 in the later Brosnan films, and expand under Daniel Craig to the Diver 300M, Planet Ocean, Seamaster 300, Aqua Terra, and the 007 Edition. Exact pre-2012 references rely partly on secondary timelines, and a watch used as a screen prop may not match a production retail version. The specialist James Bond Watches catalogue supplies scene-level entries and confidence notes for readers checking a particular appearance.

Omega said they would be available from that date through its boutiques and online; stock and regional availability can change.

Details and the collection’s availability statement are in Omega’s October 5, 2026 announcement.
Quick Recap
Which James Bond Omega should you choose?
- For the historical Bond connection: the 2541.80 is the defining starting point because it launched the Omega film era in GoldenEye.
- For a watch designed specifically around the modern Bond role: look at the titanium Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition from No Time to Die.
- For the familiar Brosnan-era Seamaster: the 2531.80 is the recurring model across three films.
- For a newly announced Bond-themed model: the 2026 steel Bond Diver 300M, ref. 210.30.42.20.03.004, is a separate product from the 007 Edition and was not worn in a released film.
