What the Amazfit Bip 6 adds

Amazfit’s launch announcement lists heart-rate and health monitoring, sleep tracking, AI-powered fitness programs, offline navigation and 5 ATM water resistance. Battery life depends on the mode
Amazfit’s U.S. product page estimates about 14 days of use under typical conditions and up to 26 days with power saver enabled. These are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed results; actual battery life can vary with settings and use. Amazfit estimates a full charge from empty takes 1.5–2.5 hours.
Phone setup and calling
The Bip 6 pairs with the Zepp app. Amazfit’s manual specifies Android 7.0 or later or iOS 14.0 or later and instructs users to install the app, then scan the pairing QR code displayed by the watch. Bluetooth calling depends on a connection to the paired phone, so it is not a substitute for a standalone cellular watch.

GPS and music limitations
TechRadar’s reviewer described the Bip 6 GPS as single-frequency and reported reliable results in the reviewer’s walks, runs, cycling and forest testing. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a guarantee of accuracy in every place or for every wearer. The review also reported that music needs to be downloaded to the watch for playback; streaming services such as Spotify are not supported.

Amazfit says the Bip 6 and Zepp app are not medical devices and cannot be used to diagnose a medical condition or for medical purposes. The company says readings are for reference and can be affected by movement and environmental or physical characteristics. Some monitoring and alerts also require the relevant settings to be enabled.
