By October 4, the official archive listed seven 2026 announcements, six watches and one body-worn strap. The releases show Amazfit pushing into premium outdoor, running and hybrid-training products, putting it in the same broad conversation as Garmin without establishing that the brands’ watches are interchangeable or that Amazfit has declared Garmin a target.
What Zepp meant by a 2026 launch “flood”
Zepp Health owns Amazfit. In a March 18, 2026 report, T3 said the company expected to launch around the same number of products as the prior year—roughly nine—or slightly more. That was a forecast reported at the time, not a promise that nine watches would ship.
The company’s stated ambition goes beyond adding models. T3 quoted Zepp Health CEO Wang Huang saying, “We have been transforming Zepp from a traditional wearable hardware company into what we call a hybrid training platform.” Huang also described the aim as “not simply to launch competitive devices, but to build a broader performance system that integrates endurance, strength, and recovery.” Those comments explain the strategic framing; they do not establish a direct challenge to Garmin.
Which Amazfit products had been announced by October 4?
Zepp’s official release archive lists these 2026 announcements. The dates are announcement dates, not evidence that every product was available in every market or had shipped in volume.

| Announcement date | Product | Category |
|---|---|---|
| February 19, 2026 | T-Rex Ultra 2 | Outdoor watch |
| February 26, 2026 | Active 3 Premium | Watch |
| April 16, 2026 | Cheetah 2 Pro | Running watch |
| May 13, 2026 | Cheetah 2 Ultra | Running watch |
| June 2, 2026 | Balance 3 | Hybrid-training watch |
| June 2, 2026 | Balance Ultra | Hybrid-training watch |
| June 18, 2026 | Helio Strap Pro | Body-worn strap, not a watch |
| September 22, 2026 | T-Rex Dual Solar | Outdoor watch |
That archive makes the pace concrete: six watches and one adjacent wearable were listed by the cutoff date. It does not confirm the original forecast as a final total, nor does an announcement alone prove retail availability or product performance. The range is also broader than a single Garmin-style adventure watch: it includes outdoor, running and hybrid-training devices.
How Amazfit is building a training system around its watches
Amazfit presents Balance 3 and Balance Ultra as hardware within a hybrid-training system. Its Zepp App is positioned to connect training with recovery, sleep, stress and lifestyle data. This is the company’s product positioning, rather than an independent assessment of how well the ecosystem works.

At the Balance launch, Zepp Health CEO Wayne Huang said, “The future of training is not about doing more without direction. It is about training with structure,” The statement captures the intended emphasis on guided training, alongside endurance and recovery, rather than treating a watch as a standalone gadget. The available launch material does not provide an independent head-to-head assessment of Balance against Garmin’s training tools.
Where T-Rex Dual Solar fits—and what its battery claims mean
Amazfit positions the T-Rex Dual Solar as an expedition watch, citing dual-sided solar, maps and route-planning tools. The company gives a UK launch price of £649.90, a regional figure that may change. Amazfit also says typical battery life is up to 25 days, rising to up to 34 days with three hours of daily exposure at 50,000 lux. These are manufacturer figures under Amazfit’s stated typical-use testing conditions, not independently tested results; solar exposure and real-world use affect the relevance of the extended figure. Amazfit identified Amazon UK as a sales channel at launch, which does not establish availability through Amazon in other regions. Amazfit’s announcement is the source for its product positioning and claims.

Why Garmin is part of the comparison
Garmin introduced the fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro in an August 2026 announcement, making the comparison timely: both brands are presenting premium sports and outdoor products. Garmin lists US starting prices of $999.99 for fēnix 9 and $1,099.99 for fēnix 9 Pro; those are US prices and should not be compared directly with the Amazfit UK launch price as if they were the same market or currency. Garmin says Pro models include satellite and LTE connectivity. Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing Susan Lyman said the watches “are purpose-built for those who want to perform better and venture farther.” Garmin’s August 25, 2026 announcement is the source for its pricing and feature claims.

- Training and recovery: Amazfit is emphasizing the Zepp App’s links among training, recovery, sleep and stress, particularly around Balance 3 and Balance Ultra. The available announcements do not provide equivalent measures to rank this system against Garmin’s.
- Battery: Amazfit’s T-Rex Dual Solar figures are vendor claims with stated use and solar-exposure conditions. A like-for-like Garmin battery result is not established here.
- Price and availability: the cited Amazfit figure is a UK launch price; Garmin’s are US starting prices. Local pricing and retail availability need to be checked in the buyer’s market.
These overlapping categories explain why Garmin is in the headline, but the evidence supports a competitive context—not a verified Amazfit declaration of intent or a conclusion that the devices are direct substitutes. The cited product announcements also do not provide a controlled head-to-head test, independent performance results for the new Amazfit models, or a market-share basis for declaring one brand ahead.
