Historical deal notice: Amazon listed the Garmin Venu 2S at $259.80 during Prime Day, down from the report’s stated $399.99 regular price. That is a mathematical saving of $140.19, or roughly 35%. Android Headlines reported the offer on July 18, 2024; $259.80 should not be treated as a live August 2026 price without checking the listing.

What the Prime Day deal actually was
The product was Garmin’s smaller Venu 2S smartwatch. The July 18, 2024 report attributed a Prime Day listing to Amazon at $259.80, compared with a stated regular price of $399.99. The report did not establish the exact color, seller, fulfillment method, stock level, condition, delivery date, or whether the price applied outside the U.S. Amazon market.
| Reported figure | Amount |
|---|---|
| Stated regular price | $399.99 |
| Prime Day price | $259.80 |
| Exact reduction | $140.19 |
| Approximate percentage reduction | 35.05%, conventionally rounded to 35% |
| Report date | July 18, 2024 |
“$140 off” was a rounded headline description: $399.99 minus $259.80 equals $140.19. Taxes, shipping, seller differences, and variant pricing could change a buyer’s final total.

- Activity profiles for activities including running, swimming and golf.
- Smartphone notifications and phone-call controls when connected to a phone.

These functions provide fitness and wellness information. They are not medical diagnoses, a substitute for a medical monitor, or a replacement for professional care.
Why the 40 mm size matters
The smaller case can be a better physical fit for people who find larger sports watches bulky, particularly on smaller wrists. A compact case can also feel lighter during sleep and exercise. Comfort, text readability and touch-screen usability remain personal, so shoppers should check the case measurements against a watch they already wear.

How to interpret the battery claims
“Up to 10 days” is a best-case estimate rather than a guaranteed runtime. Always-on display use, frequent GPS workouts, music playback, continuous sensor features such as pulse oximetry, notifications, brightness, wrist-gesture settings, software behavior and battery age can all reduce endurance. The reported seven-hour GPS-plus-music figure likewise describes a claimed use case, not a universal result.
Is the Venu 2S still worth considering?
It can make sense when
- You want a compact Garmin with a round AMOLED display and built-in GPS.
- Your priorities are basic activity tracking, wellness data, notifications and music features rather than the newest training platform.
- The live price is substantially below newer compact Garmin watches.
- You are comfortable buying an older model after confirming warranty and return coverage.
Look elsewhere when
- The current price is close to a newer Garmin with a longer support runway or newer sensors.
- You need cellular service without carrying a phone.
- You rely heavily on Apple Watch or Wear OS apps and services.
- You need the latest Garmin training metrics, safety tools or multisport capabilities.
- The listing is used or renewed with unclear accessories, warranty or return terms.
Because the Venu 2S is an older generation, the central trade-off is a potentially low purchase price versus newer hardware and software. Garmin’s product information is available at the Venu 2/Venu 2S family page, although current availability and pricing should be confirmed directly.

Checklist before buying an Amazon listing
- Confirm that the title says Garmin Venu 2S, not Venu 2, Venu 3S or another size.
- Check the selected color and verify that its price matches the displayed deal.
- Read the condition line: new, renewed, used and refurbished units have different risk and warranty implications.
- Inspect the “Sold by” and “Ships from” fields; the deal report did not verify that Amazon itself sold or fulfilled the watch.
- Review delivery timing, return window and warranty coverage.
- Check the final checkout total, including shipping and tax.
- Compare the live price with newer compact Garmin models before placing the order.

At the reported $259.80, the Venu 2S was a meaningful discount from $399.99 for shoppers wanting a smaller Garmin with GPS, AMOLED display and broad wellness tracking. It was a July 2024 Prime Day snapshot, not a verified current offer. In 2026, buy only after checking the exact listing, condition, seller, warranty and the price gap to newer Garmin watches.
