Angles names a Sellita SW220-1 as the movement and lists five dial colors, with 20 watches per color. Its published specifications contain two conflicts—36 versus 38 hours of power reserve, and 14 versus 14.5 mm of case height—so those figures should be treated as unresolved rather than silently reconciled.
How does the Chain of Time’s 24-hour display work?
Angles describes the Chain of Time as using a “micro chain drive complication.” The hour hand makes its way around an oval dial marked for 24 hours, rather than completing a conventional 12-hour cycle. The minute hand moves above the 6 p.m. position, according to the manufacturer’s description.
This gives the watch a different way to read the day, but Angles’ available description does not explain the chain’s internal routing, gear ratios, or adjustment behavior. Those details should not be inferred from the display alone.
What movement and specifications does Angles list?
The figures below are manufacturer specifications, not results from independent testing. The Chain of Time’s current product page identifies the movement as a Sellita SW220-1 automatic; that page also lists 25 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour.

| Specification | Angles’ stated detail |
|---|---|
| Movement | Sellita SW220-1 automatic |
| Jewels and frequency | 25 jewels; 28,800 beats per hour, on the current product page |
| Accuracy | ±10 seconds per day; the collection page also says the movement is adjusted in five positions. This is the maker’s claim, not a measured result. |
| Power reserve | 36 hours on the current Cobalt Grey product page; 38 hours on the collection page. Angles’ pages therefore state 36–38 hours, with no explanation of the difference. |
| Case | 316L stainless steel; 42 mm wide and 55 mm long. The product page gives 14 mm height, while the collection page gives 14.5 mm. |
| Crystal | Double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating |
| Water resistance | 3 ATM / 30 m, as stated by Angles. The cited pages do not establish suitability for swimming or diving. |
| Strap and clasp | Crocodile leather, 26 mm at the lugs tapering to 20 mm at the buckle end; the model page states a deployant clasp. |
| Luminescence | The product page describes layered Swiss Super-LumiNova pigment; the specific color or pigment varies by dial variant. |
What do the case dimensions mean for fit?
The listed 42 mm width is only part of the fit picture: Angles also gives a 55 mm case length. That length is worth checking against your wrist and the watches you already find comfortable, especially if you usually prefer compact cases. The available figures do not establish how the watch will fit on a particular wrist.
For a replacement strap, use 26 mm at the lugs and 20 mm at the buckle end as the starting dimensions. A search for a “26 mm watch strap tapering to 20 mm” matches the stated width, but width alone does not confirm that a third-party strap will work with the original deployant clasp. Check the strap’s attachment and clasp compatibility before buying.

What to weigh before choosing it
- Time reading: The 24-hour oval display differs from a conventional 12-hour dial; consider whether you find that layout legible and intuitive.
- Wrist fit: Compare the listed 42 mm width and 55 mm length with a watch that already fits you well.
- Water exposure: Angles states 3 ATM / 30 m, but its cited pages do not verify a specific swimming or diving use.
- Ownership details: The maker lists an automatic Sellita movement and a reserve stated inconsistently as 36 or 38 hours.
- Strap replacement: The specified 26-to-20 mm taper narrows the size search, but clasp compatibility still needs checking.
- Availability: The stated 20-per-color limit and observed sold-out statuses make color availability a practical consideration; live inventory can change.
