The best overall early deal was the 42mm Apple Watch Series 10 at $329, reduced from $399. For the lowest sensible entry price, the Apple Watch SE 2 at $149 was the standout. The $719 Apple Watch Ultra 2 was the premium option, but its cellular hardware and rugged design made it unnecessary for most buyers.

These prices were reported by retailers and deal publications at different points in November. They generally referred to new watches, but Apple Watch pricing varied by color, band, case size, seller and stock. Always verify the exact configuration and condition before buying.

At $329, the 42mm Series 10 was the strongest all-around early deal. It was Apple’s newest mainstream watch in 2024, offered the best balance of features and price, and was only $30 more than the larger 46mm version’s discount-adjusted price advantage was worth to shoppers who preferred compact dimensions.
The Series 10 included an always-on display, ECG capability and sleep-apnea notifications, subject to regional, age, hardware and software restrictions. It used Apple’s S10 chip and supported the 42mm case size. Apple rated it for up to 18 hours of standard battery life or up to 36 hours in Low Power Mode under stated test conditions; actual runtime varies with GPS, cellular use, workouts, streaming, notifications, temperature and battery health. Buy threshold: $329 was an excellent price. It was the best choice for most iPhone owners, first-time buyers wanting current hardware, and owners upgrading from roughly Series 4 through Series 8.

Important limitation: This was the GPS model, not GPS + Cellular. Away from the iPhone, connected features depend more heavily on Wi-Fi or a nearby phone. It also did not include a power adapter, although Apple’s package included a magnetic charging cable.
2. Apple Watch SE 2, 40mm GPS: $149–$169
Retailers reported: Amazon at $149 in the strongest coverage, while Amazon and Best Buy were also reported at $169 during the early-sale period. The 44mm version was reported at about $179.
The SE 2 was the cheapest worthwhile new Apple Watch deal. At $149, it was $100 below its approximately $249 regular price; at $169, it was still a strong discount. It handled notifications, workouts, activity tracking, Apple Pay, fall detection and crash detection, making it a sensible first watch for casual users, children and gift buyers.

Its low price required meaningful compromises. The SE 2 used the older S8 chip, lacked an always-on display and did not support the ECG app. It also had fewer premium health sensors than the Series 10. The 40mm case provided less screen area and battery capacity than the 44mm version.
Is the Series 10 worth $180 more? For users who want an always-on screen, ECG and newer hardware, yes. For basic notifications, exercise tracking, Apple Pay and safety features, the SE 2 was the better way to minimize spending.
Buy threshold: $149 was exceptional; $169 was still good. Do not assume that every watchOS feature available on Series 10 was available on SE 2.

3. Apple Watch Series 10, 46mm GPS: $359
Retailer reported: Amazon.
The 46mm Series 10 reached $359, down from $429. It had the same Series 10 generation and core feature set as the 42mm model, but its larger display was easier to read and interact with for many people.

This was the right choice for users with larger wrists or anyone who found smaller watch interfaces cramped. The trade-off was simple: it cost $30 more than the 42mm deal and could feel oversized on a smaller wrist. Bigger is not automatically more comfortable.

Buy threshold: Pay the extra $30 if readability and touch targets matter more than compactness. Otherwise, the 42mm model delivered the better value.

4. Apple Watch Ultra 2, 49mm GPS + Cellular: $719
Retailer reported: Amazon.
The Ultra 2 fell to $719 from $799 around Black Friday, saving $80. It was the premium deal for hikers, endurance athletes, divers, travelers and anyone who wanted to leave an iPhone behind more often. Its 49mm titanium case, brighter display, cellular connectivity, rugged outdoor design and longer battery rating made it a specialist tool rather than simply a more expensive Series 10.
Apple rated the Ultra 2 for up to 36 hours of standard battery life under its stated conditions, with longer Low Power Mode figures. Real-world results vary, and cellular use can consume more power.
Do most buyers need it? No. The Ultra 2 was substantially larger, heavier and more expensive than the Series 10. Its $719 price also covered a GPS + Cellular configuration, so it should not be compared directly with the $329 GPS Series 10 without accounting for that hardware difference. Cellular service may require a separate recurring carrier plan.
Timeline qualification: Early November coverage listed the black Ultra 2 at $734.89, while the later November 29 coverage recorded $719. These were separate price points, not simultaneous offers. See the early listing and Black Friday roundup.

Buy threshold: $719 was strong for the Ultra 2, but it was compelling mainly if you needed its battery, durability or independent connectivity.

Retailer reported: Amazon.
The 41mm Series 9 was listed at $339, down from $399. It remained a capable alternative for buyers who wanted more than the SE 2 but did not need the newest Series 10 design.
However, at only $10 less than the 42mm Series 10 deal, it was usually the weaker purchase. Choose it if Series 10 stock was unavailable, if a specific Series 9 configuration suited you, or if its price fell meaningfully below $329. Otherwise, the newer Series 10 offered the clearer long-term value.

- Best overall: Series 10 42mm GPS at $329.
- Spend the least: SE 2 40mm GPS at $149, or $169 if that was the available configuration.
- Want a larger standard display: Series 10 46mm GPS at $359.
- Need maximum battery, ruggedness and standalone use: Ultra 2 at $719, remembering the cellular-plan cost.
- Considering Series 9: Buy only if it was substantially cheaper than Series 10 or the newer model was sold out.
GPS or GPS + Cellular?
GPS models were generally the better value for users who carry an iPhone. GPS + Cellular models were more useful for calls, messages, streaming and emergency connectivity away from the phone, but they cost more and may require carrier activation and a monthly plan. A carrier promotion advertising a “free” watch may require a new line, installments or an eligible phone plan; it is not equivalent to a straightforward unlocked GPS purchase.
Which size fits?
The 40mm and 42mm watches were better suited to smaller wrists and compact wear. The 44mm and 46mm models offered more readable displays but could be less comfortable on smaller wrists. The 49mm Ultra 2 was a specialist-sized watch: try it on if possible rather than choosing it solely because the screen is larger.

The SE 2 did not support ECG or an always-on display. Series 10 and Ultra 2 offered broader health and sensor capabilities, but ECG and sleep-apnea notifications are screening and wellness features, not medical diagnoses. Availability can vary by country, age, hardware and software. Consult Apple’s feature and compatibility notes.

Were these really early Black Friday deals?
Yes, but not every price appeared at the same time. Black Friday 2024 fell on November 29. Early coverage showed Ultra 2 pricing around $734.89 on November 6 and Series 10 discounts around $349/$379 in some November 11 reports. By November 29, the Series 10 prices had reached $329 for 42mm and $359 for 46mm, while the Ultra 2 reached $719. SE 2 pricing moved between $149 and $169 depending on retailer and date.
That timeline matters: an early discount could sell out before the main shopping day, while a later price could improve. Contemporaneous coverage sometimes judged that the Series 10 price was unlikely to fall much further, but that was an opinion—not a guarantee.
Historical Apple Watch deal buying checklist
- Match the exact model: Confirm SE 2, Series 9, Series 10 or Ultra 2 rather than relying on a generic product title.
- Check the case size: Confirm 40mm, 41mm, 42mm, 44mm, 46mm or 49mm.
- Check connectivity: Verify GPS versus GPS + Cellular.
- Check condition: Confirm that the watch is new, not refurbished, used or open-box. Marketplace seller details matter.
- Check the band: Band size, color and included configuration can change the price. Apple Watch bands are interchangeable when the size family is compatible.
- Check the box contents: The watch includes its magnetic charging cable, but a USB power adapter is not generally included.
- Check compatibility: Series 10 required an iPhone XS or later running iOS 18 or later at launch. Other software features also have model and regional requirements.
- Check the retailer terms: Return windows, holiday extensions, price matching, membership requirements and store stock varied by retailer and date.
- Compare like for like: Do not compare a cellular Ultra 2 with a GPS Series 10 without including the connectivity and ongoing plan differences.
What happened if a deal sold out?
Check the same model, size, connectivity and condition at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and Target, but do not assume that a different listing is equivalent. Retailers may discount only a particular color, band length or seller listing. Best Buy inventory could include open-box units or store-specific stock, and Walmart marketplace listings required careful seller and fulfillment checks.
For buyers prioritizing warranty and refurbishment quality rather than a new Black Friday unit, Apple Certified Refurbished inventory was a separate category. A source-crawl example listed a refurbished Series 10 46mm at $319 with a one-year limited warranty and 14-day returns, but inventory and pricing are not guaranteed and it should not be presented as the 2024 new-watch deal.
As of 2026, Series 10 and Ultra 2 are no longer Apple’s newest watch generations. Their November 2024 prices are useful historical benchmarks, not promises of current availability or value.
