Apple’s spring accessory colors launched on March 4, 2025—not recently. The refresh added Tangerine, Aquamarine, Peony and Periwinkle to Silicone Cases with MagSafe for the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, alongside new colors for four Apple Watch band families. Apple’s U.S. store lists a Periwinkle iPhone 16 case at $49, but a product listing does not establish stock at every store or in every color and size.
What Apple launched in spring 2025
This was an accessory-color update, not a new iPhone or Apple Watch launch. Apple quietly added the products to its store on March 4, 2025, as it announced the M3 iPad Air and an updated entry-level iPad with an A16 chip. Contemporary coverage described the accessories as available to order online, with physical-store availability expected afterward; that launch-day report does not establish present-day inventory. iDownloadBlog’s March 4, 2025 roundup and BGR’s launch coverage reported the update.
iPhone 16 case colors, models and price
The four spring colors were Tangerine, Aquamarine, Peony and Periwinkle. They were added to Apple’s Silicone Case with MagSafe range for these models:
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
Cases for these phones are not interchangeable: choose the exact iPhone model before ordering. Apple’s U.S. product page currently lists the Periwinkle iPhone 16 case at $49; this is a current catalog price, not necessarily the price in other countries or proof of local stock. Apple Watch band colors and fit
The spring refresh covered four standard band families. The color lineup below comes from launch coverage; a listed color should not be taken to mean every size was offered in that color.

The price ranges reflect differences in contemporary coverage, which reported standard bands at $49 or $50 and Braided Solo Loop at $99 or $100; they are historical launch figures, not a verified current price list. The launch color and price roundup lists the reported options.

Watch-band case size and wrist fit are separate checks. A 40mm, 42mm or 46mm case-size match does not guarantee the band fits your wrist. Sport Band uses a pin-and-tuck closure; Sport Loop uses a woven hook-and-loop closure. Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop have no buckle, so sizing matters more: consult Apple’s fit instructions and the selected product listing before ordering. Apple’s 46mm Periwinkle Sport Loop listing is one example of a size-specific product page.
What the iPhone case adds beyond color
Apple describes the case as having a silicone exterior, soft microfiber lining and built-in MagSafe magnets. Its product page says it supports MagSafe, Qi and Qi2 charging and works with Camera Control through a sapphire-crystal interface with a conductive layer. That interface is intended to transmit Camera Control input through the case rather than leave the control exposed through a simple cutout. Apple also says the case uses 55% recycled silicone material; these are Apple’s product claims, not independent test findings. Details appear on Apple’s product page.

The iPhone 16e was not part of these spring case colors
The spring-color report covered iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max cases—not new colors for iPhone 16e. BGR reported that 16e buyers could choose existing case colors Lake Green, Fuchsia, Winter Blue, White and Black at the time. Check the exact model and current listing rather than assuming a case advertised for “iPhone 16” fits the 16e.
Hermès bands were a separate luxury addition
Apple’s Hermès collection also received spring-related colorways, but these are not standard Apple Watch bands and should not be compared with the standard-band prices above. Launch coverage reported Bleu Hydra En Mer for Apple Watch Ultra at $450, Noir/Ecru Toile H Single Tour at $350 and Noir/Gris Bridon Single Tour at $350, alongside additions in Twill Jump Attelage, Kilim and Bridon styles. Is Apple’s case or band worth choosing?
When the first-party case makes sense
- You want a case made for your exact iPhone 16 model, with Apple’s Camera Control implementation and MagSafe alignment.
- You want one of the spring colors and a coordinated Apple accessory look. Colors overlap across some case and band families, but the listings do not establish that every shade is an exact match.
- You prefer buying through Apple’s retail and support channels.
When to consider alternatives
- The $49 U.S. case price is a premium for a silicone accessory, and silicone may attract lint or show wear.
- If maximum drop protection is the priority, compare cases designed for rugged protection rather than assuming a slim silicone case is equivalent.
- If you want leather, unusual designs or a lower price, Apple’s iPhone 16 refresh did not bring back a traditional Apple leather case; third-party choices vary and should be checked for model fit and Camera Control support.
Choose a band by how you use it
- Sport Band: a smooth band with a pin-and-tuck closure; a straightforward option for exercise and water exposure, subject to Apple’s care guidance.
- Sport Loop: woven fabric with hook-and-loop adjustment for incremental fitting.
- Solo Loop: a buckle-free look, but purchase depends on selecting the right size.
- Braided Solo Loop: a stretchy braided style at a higher launch price than the standard band families.
- Hermès: a luxury styling option with substantially higher reported launch prices.
Apple’s case page and the Apple accessories catalog can show current product listings, but stock and delivery options may vary by location, color and size.
