The Artem HydroFlex Khaki Green & Orange is a hybrid watch strap with an FKM rubber base, an embossed synthetic sailcloth upper and orange stitching. It is sold by lug width, so check the distance between your watch’s lugs and select a strap in the matching width before ordering; the colorway alone does not establish compatibility with any particular watch.
What makes this HydroFlex colorway distinctive?
The khaki green surface and orange stitching create a high-contrast pairing without making the strap uniformly bright. Artem lists the orange-stitched version separately from a similar green-stitched option, so check the selected variant rather than assuming the product photographs represent every listing choice. The construction and vegan description below are Artem’s own product claims.
Materials and hardware
Artem describes the HydroFlex as a premium FKM rubber base joined to an embossed synthetic sailcloth upper. The hybrid construction combines a rubber underside with a textured fabric-like appearance on top. Each strap comes with factory-fitted quick-release spring bars, a standard stainless steel tang buckle, and one fixed and one floating removable keeper. Artem also lists a DLC buckle option and compatibility with an optional deployant clasp; check the current listing for the available choices.
How to choose the right lug width
Lug width is the distance between the two lugs where a strap attaches to the watch. Artem says the strap width must equal that measurement. A strap that is too wide or too narrow is not the right fit, so do not rely on a watch’s appearance or on another model in the same collection as a substitute for checking your exact watch.

- Look up the lug width for your exact watch model in its documentation or a reliable model-specific specification.
- If you need to measure it, measure the gap between the lugs with a ruler or vernier caliper.
- Choose the matching width from the current regional Artem listing, and confirm that the orange-stitched variant is available in that size before checkout.
Artem’s product page provides general HydroFlex sizing information; Fratello’s October 14, 2024 launch article specifically reports 19mm and 20mm sizes for the orange-stitched version. Since selectors and stock can change, verify the exact size on the listing you are using. The reported sizes do not establish compatibility with any specific watch: its lug width still needs to match.
Dimensions and taper
Artem lists the strap length as 75/115mm and its thickness as tapering from 5.35mm to 2.55mm. For 19mm, 20mm and 21mm widths, the strap tapers to 18mm at the buckle; the 22mm version tapers to 20mm. The buckle-end taper is a separate dimension from the lug width, so use the lug-end width—not the buckle width—to match the strap to your watch.

Water and care claims
Artem describes the strap as water- and dust-resistant and recommends hand washing or spot cleaning. The cited product information does not give a numeric water-resistance rating or an independent durability test, so those claims should not be read as a rating for the watch or as a measured performance guarantee.

In an October 14, 2024 Fratello article, author Michael Stockton described pairing the orange-stitched strap with a Rolex Explorer, Rolex Sea-Dweller and Omega Speedmaster Professional. Those examples are his editorial pairings, not a compatibility list: each watch still needs the correct lug width. Stockton also wrote, “Best of all, though, the straps are wildly comfortable.” That is his first-person wear impression, not a comparative comfort test.

Fratello reported a €203.95 strap price and an additional €68.95 deployant clasp price on Artem’s website at publication in October 2024. These are historical figures, not current quotes.
