Artime’s ART01, introduced in 2023 as the young brand’s inaugural watch, pairs a manually wound, double-balance-spring tourbillon with a movement designed to appear suspended inside a titanium-and-sapphire case. The first titanium series was limited to 20 watches. The project came from six watchmaking specialists who founded Artime in Les Brenets, Switzerland, in 2021.
What makes the ART01’s construction unusual?
The ART01 is designed as an integrated case-and-movement rather than a conventional movement mounted on a separate mainplate. WatchTime’s 2024 account of the later Rostovsky edition describes the caliber as directly integrated into the case without a mainplate. Artime and the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry describe a white-gold caliber with an airy appearance, framed by titanium and transparent sapphire. Together, those choices make the movement architecture part of the watch’s visible design.
The hand-wound caliber uses a tourbillon with two balance springs. A function selector is incorporated into the case design, while the titanium and sapphire construction opens up views of the mechanism. The brand and the Federation present these elements as parts of one integrated design, not as separate decorative features.
How the selector and movement work
Time and Watches reported three selector positions: N for neutral, R for remontage (winding), and H for heure (setting the time). The same February 2023 report says the tourbillon completes one rotation per minute and the movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz. It attributes the stated 80-hour power reserve to a large barrel with slip springs.

Who founded Artime?
The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry says Artime was founded in 2021 in Les Brenets by six specialists whose expertise spans design, management, engineering, manufacturing, and sales. It identifies the founders as:
- Fabrice Deschanel
- Didier Bretin
- Manuel Thomas
- Claude Emmenegger
- Emmanuel Jutier
- Stéphane Maturel
The Federation describes the group’s governance as horizontal. That is the Federation’s characterization of the company’s structure. An Oster Jewelers podcast page published in May 2026 identifies Emmanuel Jutier as a co-founder and says Artime Créations continues to work as a supplier as well as developing its own brand.

Original titanium series and the later Rostovsky edition
The original ART01 titanium series and the later Rostovsky Watches Edition are distinct releases. WatchTime reported that the 2024 collaboration retained the original 42 mm sapphire-and-titanium construction and movement, while adding blue accents. Its five-piece run was sold exclusively through Rostovsky Watches at that time.

Why the ART01 matters to Artime
The ART01 established Artime’s identity around a visible, case-integrated movement and a double-spring tourbillon, rather than a conventional dial-first presentation. Its initial 20-piece titanium run also made the debut a small-scale project from the outset.
