Its defining combination is a black ceramic and 18-carat white-gold case, a monochrome openworked-looking movement presentation, and the self-winding Calibre 2952 with a flying tourbillon and flyback chronograph. The watch is listed as reference 26399NB.OO.D009KB.01; the reference is reported by a secondary listing and should be confirmed with a boutique.
What changed in the Shades of Grey version?
The visual theme pairs black and grey with small warm-metal accents. The 41 mm case combines a black ceramic middle and crown with an 18-carat white-gold bezel, lugs and push-pieces. A dark grey rubber-coated strap and white-gold folding clasp complete the exterior. Audemars Piguet introduced the model in September 2024; the release does not establish that it is a limited edition.
On the dial side, slate-grey semi-matt elements sit alongside rhodium-toned bridges and a blackened mainplate. Pink-gold hands and the balance wheel add contrast. The open chronograph counters reveal parts of the movement, keeping the grey treatment from reading as a simple change of dial color.
What movement and complications does it have?
The watch uses Audemars Piguet self-winding Calibre 2952. A flying tourbillon sits at 6 o’clock, with transparent 30-minute and 12-hour chronograph counters at 9 and 3 o’clock. The reported minimum power reserve is 65 hours.

The chronograph includes a flyback function. Audemars Piguet describes it as allowing the chronograph to be reset and restarted instantly for successive measurements. That is a functional explanation, not a claim about timing accuracy or performance.
Through the sapphire caseback, the movement’s rhodium-toned 22-carat pink-gold oscillating weight is visible. Audemars Piguet says the calibre’s bridges and decorative elements feature 111 handcrafted inner angles.

How is the ceramic case made?
Audemars Piguet says ceramic components lose about a quarter of their volume during production, and that sintering takes place above 1,000°C. These figures describe the manufacturer’s account of ceramic production; they are not independent measurements of this particular watch.

The cited secondary listing identifies the watch as reference 26399NB.OO.D009KB.01. Audemars Piguet’s September 2024 release text and WatchPro identify the movement as Calibre 2952; a separate technical table on the listing gives a conflicting calibre number, so it is not used here.
