Does the bronze Aquascaphe develop patina?
Yes. Baltic says the CuAl8 copper-aluminium alloy naturally develops patina over time. Its color and intensity vary with the individual watch, wear and environmental conditions, so no specific shade, pace or uniform finish is assured. Patina is a characteristic of the material, not a consistent factory-applied look. Baltic’s user guide.
What strap fits the Baltic Aquascaphe Bronze?
The listed lug width is 20 mm. Baltic says its straps are compatible with the watch, and the current Black listing specifies a vulcanized FKM rubber strap with a bronze buckle. The guide describes quick-release systems for rubber and leather straps and for Beads of Rice, Flat Link and Mesh bracelets. The straight Beads of Rice bracelet is the exception: it requires a spring-bar tool.
- Use a compatible 20 mm strap or bracelet.
- For a straight Beads of Rice bracelet, use a spring-bar tool; the quick-release options do not require one for removal.
- After fitting, pull the strap or bracelet to check that it is secure, as Baltic’s guide advises.
How should you care for it?
- Wipe the watch with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and sweat.
- Wash bracelets with warm, soapy water.
- After exposure to salt water or chlorinated water, rinse waterproof models with clean water.
These are Baltic’s care recommendations in its user guide.
