Baume & Mercier announced two ice-blue Clifton Baumatic limited editions for launch on September 1, 2026: the 39 mm automatic-date M0A10870 and the 40 mm perpetual-calendar M0A10872. Both have guilloché dials, a manufacturer-stated 120-hour power reserve, 4 Hz frequency and 50 m water resistance; their complications, case dimensions and supplied bracelet or strap set them apart.
What is new in the Clifton Baumatic release?
The two watches continue the Clifton’s 2025 redesign in a special ice-blue treatment. Baume & Mercier describes the collection’s design references as 1950s-inspired, with details including a domed sapphire crystal, integrated crown and Arabic numerals at selected dial positions. The 2025 redesign also brought the standard three-hand Clifton to a 39 mm case and added an integrated metal-bracelet option. Baume & Mercier’s Clifton collection listing includes a broader range of sizes and complications; these two editions are not the entire Clifton collection.
The brand’s Clifton Ice Blue Editions announcement gives September 1, 2026 as the official product launch date. That date does not establish when either reference will be in stock in a particular country.

Choose the M0A10870 for a date display and integrated bracelet
The M0A10870 is the more straightforward of the pair by displayed functions: it has hours, minutes, seconds and a date, in a 39 mm case that is 11.22 mm thick. It comes on the integrated three-row steel bracelet. Those facts may help narrow a choice if you prefer a simpler dial or want the supplied metal bracelet; they do not establish how the watch will fit or feel on your wrist.
Choose the M0A10872 for a perpetual calendar and moon phase
The M0A10872 adds day, month, leap-year and moon-phase indications alongside the date. Its 40 mm case is 12.9 mm thick, and it is supplied on a blue alligator strap rather than the M0A10870’s integrated bracelet. The extra calendar indications make this the more complication-focused option, with a more information-dense dial.
