The BEHRENS × Konstantin Chaykin Ace of Hearts turns an unconventional face into a mechanical display: two eye-like indicators show the hours and minutes, a heart-shaped hand marks the seconds along a stone-mill-inspired path, and a separate indicator shows the power reserve. It is a limited-edition, manually wound watch that builds on the brands’ earlier Ace of Spades collaboration.
This is a specifications-based overview, not a hands-on review. Comfort, finishing, legibility in use, and timekeeping performance have not been independently assessed.
How the Ace of Hearts tells the time
The central idea is to make the watch’s indications part of its expressive face. Hours and minutes sit in separate eye-like displays, while a heart-shaped seconds hand follows what the makers call a stone-mill-inspired motion. The power-reserve indication is positioned above the face. Together, these elements draw on Konstantin Chaykin’s Joker-style display language while giving the watch a distinct heart motif.
BEHRENS and Chaykin also describe the design as combining Chaykin’s Joker elements with BEHRENS’s asymmetric “Ultralight” case. The makers say the smiling expression takes inspiration from the Eastern Han ceramic sculpture “Pottery Storyteller Beating a Drum”; that is their stated design reference, rather than an independent art-historical assessment. Konstantin Chaykin’s product information gives it a 46-hour power reserve and describes the movement as incorporating 11 patented systems or complications. Those are the maker’s claims; patent status and performance have not been independently verified here.

Chaykin’s page says each version has “newly patented quick-release straps” that can be changed with a single press. Where it fits in the collaboration
The Ace of Hearts follows the Ace of Spades, which BEHRENS identifies as the partnership’s first release. The brand frames the new watch as marking the collaboration’s third anniversary and says it was officially launched at an event in Moscow on June 27; its announcement does not state the year in that sentence. The release is therefore best understood as the next chapter in a co-branded design project, rather than a conventional dress-watch variation.
For a buyer, the main choice documented in the available product information is between case material and the associated color and regional edition. The face and mechanical display concept remain the defining features across the versions described.
