How the Patrouille de France theme appears on the dial
Bell & Ross builds the dial in three plates: a matte-black base, a blue-and-white skeletonized applique and a matte-black insert. The resulting palette and layered construction make the squadron connection visible without relying on the name alone. The maker also specifies a Patrouille de France logo at 6 o’clock, a plane-shaped seconds-hand counterweight and a power-reserve display in French tricolor colors.

The aviation association is part of the design story, not a performance claim. Bell & Ross describes its watches as inspired by cockpit instruments and says it shares values of discipline, cohesion and self-improvement with the Patrouille de France. Whether the dial feels cohesive or visually busy is a matter of taste; its multiple layers and accents are central to the look.
Bell & Ross lists Super-LumiNova BGW9 Grade X1 on the hands and indices. That is a specification, not an independent assessment of legibility or glow duration. The reviewer’s impressions of the watch’s appearance, finishing and legibility should likewise be read as personal observations rather than test results.

Movement and everyday operation
The BR-CAL.323 is an automatic manufacture movement, with an approximately 70-hour reserve stated by Bell & Ross. The brand’s BR-X3 user guide says to give a stopped watch about 55 turns of the crown to fully wind it. The guide also instructs the wearer to screw the crown back into position to preserve water resistance and not to operate it underwater.
The listed 100-metre rating is not, by itself, a recommendation for a particular water activity. Follow the manufacturer’s current guidance and ensure the crown is secured. No independent accuracy or water-resistance testing is established for this watch in the available material.

Price, availability and the limited-edition question
Bell & Ross says the edition is limited to 250 pieces. Its US listing showed US$8,100, and its European listing showed €7,900; both displayed the watch as unavailable when checked on 12 October 2026. These are regional listing prices at that point in time, not a guarantee of current stock or a resale-market value. Check the relevant regional product page for any change in price or availability.
At those listed prices, the decision is less about buying a generic daily watch and more about wanting this specific combination: the BR-X3 case and layout, the Patrouille de France identity, the blue-and-white dial treatment and the limited production run. There is no independent comparative test here to establish that it offers better performance or value than another luxury watch.
