Those descriptions come from product specifications, not independent readability tests. The cited product pages do not give comparable digit heights or viewing-distance results, so they cannot establish which model is easiest to read at a particular distance.

Which model suits your timing setup?
For a table or wall
The AX520S is the most directly matched option when the stopwatch will stay in one place. Its stated timing range is up to 24 hours to the second, with four stopwatch time-base modes. Check the manufacturer’s page for details of those modes and whether they match your timing procedure.
For a coach or official carrying the stopwatch
The AX705 is the more straightforward handheld sports-timing candidate in this group. ACCUSPLIT describes its LCD as “Magnum” and extremely large, and lists a 10-hour range, water resistance, and five-year battery life. Water resistance and battery life are manufacturer claims; confirm the product details for your intended conditions rather than assuming a particular immersion rating or use environment.

For memory, laps, and extra timer functions
The AE625M35 trades a single prominent readout for a three-line display. ACCUSPLIT lists 30-memory, lap/split functions, a pacer, countdown timer, and a 10-hour timing range, and describes the unit as water and shock resistant. It may be a better feature match when you need stored timing information or several functions in one handheld unit; the available specification does not establish that its display is easier to see than the AX705’s.
For a compact alternative
The Casio HS-3V-1R is useful as a comparison if compact size matters more than a documented large display. Casio lists 1/100-second timing, lap/split modes, a maximum 10-hour timing range, and a weight of 40 g. Its cited specification page does not describe it as a large-display stopwatch, so it should not be treated as a direct large-screen competitor.

- Choose the display layout you can use. The AX520S is described as jumbo, the AX705 as having an extremely large LCD, and the AE625M35 as having a large three-line LCD. No comparable digit-height data is provided, so inspect the exact unit or its current product images if screen size is critical.
