Blancpain’s 45 mm Fifty Fathoms Tech Ref. 5029 12B30 94A joined the brand’s permanent collection in July 2025. Its main update is a tool-free interchangeable integrated rubber-strap system, while its titanium case, 300 m water resistance and helium escape valve retain serious dive-watch credentials.
What is the Fifty Fathoms Tech Ref. 5029?
Ref. 5029 12B30 94A is a 45 mm titanium Fifty Fathoms Tech model. Blancpain introduced it in July 2025 as a regular-production watch rather than a limited edition. The brand’s 2025 press release and technical specifications establish the reference and its collection status; Blancpain’s current product page continues to present it in the permanent collection.
The launch was described by Fratello as an evolution of the Ocean Commitment IV Tech, useful lineage context rather than an official Blancpain designation. Fratello’s July 2025 launch commentary also identifies the 5029 reference.
What changed on the 2025 model?
Tool-free interchangeable integrated rubber straps
The defining update is an integrated rubber strap system designed to be changed without tools. Blancpain says two straps are supplied; the available colors are black, white and orange, with different size options. The strap secures with a pin buckle. This makes the strap configuration more adaptable, but the integrated shape means buyers should assess how the strap meets their wrist, not just the 45 mm case diameter.

Black dial and orange seconds hand
The dial is described by Blancpain as absolute black. Its seconds hand is orange, while the hands and block-shaped applied indexes use Super-LumiNova for visibility in low light.

The helium escape valve and 300 m rating are meaningful parts of the watch’s dive specification. Blancpain states the technical rating, but it should not be read as a recommendation to operate the crown or valve underwater; follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use and maintenance.

How much does the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Tech 5029 cost?
Blancpain’s July 2025 release listed the watch at CHF 19,000. In US launch coverage dated July 22, 2025, Hodinkee reported a price of $22,700. Those are region-specific launch figures from different sources, not a direct price comparison or a guarantee of current retail pricing. Check Blancpain or an authorized retailer for a current quote. Hodinkee’s launch report attributes the US figure to its July 2025 coverage.
What should buyers consider about fit?
At 45.00 mm across and 14.10 mm thick, this is a substantial watch. Blancpain’s cited technical information does not provide wrist-size guidance, so those numbers cannot determine fit on their own. If possible, try it on and pay attention to the integrated strap’s shape and how its fixed connection sits at the sides of your wrist. The supplied straps and size options add choice, but do not change the case dimensions.

Is Ref. 5029 limited?
No. Blancpain introduced the 5029 as part of the permanent collection, and its current product page continues to show it as a collection model. Availability at any particular retailer or in a particular strap configuration can still vary.
