Is the Bovet Récital 32 a true GMT?
Bovet presents the Récital 32 as its first true GMT. It displays local time and one independently adjustable second time zone, rather than the many city-linked time zones of a world timer. The Récital 28 and Récital 30 are Bovet’s world-time designs, which serve a different purpose. Monochrome Watches and the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (FHH) describe the Récital 32 as Bovet’s first true GMT.

The phrase “true GMT” is used inconsistently across watchmaking. The useful distinction here is the control: on the Récital 32, a pusher advances the second-time-zone hand while local time stays put. Many traveller’s GMT watches instead let the wearer jump the local hour hand while retaining a home-time display. The Récital 32 offers a travel-friendly adjustment, but through a different mechanism.
How do you set the second time zone?
The offset subdial at 12 o’clock shows both local time and the second time zone. Monochrome describes a blue lacquered track for local time, a white 24-hour ring for the second zone, and a hand-painted day/night display at the center. The 24-hour scale helps distinguish morning from evening in the second location.

- Use the pusher on the left side of the case to advance the independent GMT hand in hourly increments until it indicates the desired second time zone.
This design leaves local time unchanged while you adjust the second zone. The mechanism and setting method are reported features; they have not been independently evaluated in a hands-on test.
What makes the movement and display distinctive?
The manually wound manufacture movement contains 375 components and delivers a reported ten-day power reserve from a single barrel. A patented miniature spherical differential duplicates the winding action, a design intended to reduce the number of crown turns needed for a long reserve. Bovet describes its spherical winding arrangement as a three-dimensional system intended to improve winding efficiency, but that general explanation does not independently establish the performance of this specific movement. The remaining reserve appears on a cylindrical roller at nine o’clock. Bovet’s watchmaking craft overview provides background on the maison’s spherical system.

The flying tourbillon sits elevated at six o’clock, with the gear train visible beneath it. An openworked dial, panoramic box sapphire crystal, and sapphire caseback keep the movement prominent from both sides. FHH and Monochrome report hand-finishing and engraving; Monochrome identifies the movement plate’s “étoiles carrées” (“square stars”) decoration and reports that the decoration takes 15 hours.

The Dimier round case measures 42 mm across and 13.7 mm thick, with 30 m water resistance according to FHH’s model profile. Reported case materials are grade 5 titanium and 18k red gold. FHH lists a blue example with a rubber strap and pin buckle, while Monochrome reports three colour combinations and a rubber strap. The sources do not establish that every dial and case combination is available in every region.

How much does the Bovet Récital 32 cost?
Monochrome’s June 19, 2026 report lists prices of CHF 150,000 for titanium and CHF 175,000 for 18k red gold. FHH lists an indicated price of CHF 150,000 without specifying the metal in the displayed profile. Check with Bovet or an authorized retailer for current local pricing, taxes, and availability.
Both sources report production of 60 examples per metal; Monochrome says they are individually numbered. The available sources do not establish current regional inventory, an exact-model warranty, a recommended service interval, or service costs. No independent accuracy or rate test is reported, so there is no measured performance result to weigh against the specifications.

Who is the Récital 32 for?
The watch is aimed at a buyer who wants a separately adjustable second time zone alongside a highly visible, elaborate movement. Its dedicated pusher offers a clear control for changing the second zone, while its 24-hour ring and day/night display make that indication easier to interpret. The raised tourbillon, engraved openworked movement, and ten-day reserve are central parts of its appeal as a mechanical showcase.
