What is the BOVET x Pininfarina Aperto 1?
Introduced on January 30, 2024, the Aperto 1 is BOVET and Pininfarina’s contemporary take on an open-worked mechanical watch. Its movement is exposed as part of the design rather than hidden behind a conventional dial, while the partnership brings together BOVET’s watchmaking and Pininfarina’s design identity. BOVET’s launch announcement described the watch as a new design direction for both houses.
The watch’s name and appearance point to openness, but the practical proposition is broader: a manually wound movement, a long reserve between windings, a case made to balance visual presence with low weight, and a strap system intended to let the wearer change its character.
Movement, functions, and power reserve
BOVET’s current bi-color product page specifies an in-house, hand-wound movement with a seven-day, or 168-hour, power reserve. The listed indications are hours, minutes, seconds, and power reserve. The reserve display is useful on a manually wound watch because it shows how much running time remains before winding is needed. BOVET’s current Aperto 1 Bi-Color page provides these specifications.

In its January 2024 launch report, Monochrome Watches described the movement as comprising 219 components and 38 jewels, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), with the same seven-day reserve. These are launch-report specifications; the current BOVET page confirms the reserve and functions but does not list all of those movement figures. Case dimensions, materials, and wear
The current bi-color version is listed at 42 mm across and 10.95 mm thick, in titanium with 18K red gold. Those materials describe the current bi-color configuration, not every version shown or discussed at the 2024 launch. BOVET’s product page is the source for the current specification.

Monochrome Watches reported a weight of 63 g for the watch with strap and buckle and water resistance of 30 metres at launch. Those figures come from its 2024 report rather than the current BOVET product-page specification, and weight can depend on configuration. The 30-metre rating is a limited water-resistance specification, not a reason to treat the watch as suited to swimming or diving; confirm the applicable care guidance with BOVET or the seller.
Interchangeable straps
BOVET says each Aperto 1 comes with two straps and uses an Aperto-specific interchangeable system inspired by its Amadeo system. For additional straps, BOVET directs customers to authorized retailers. The available material does not establish compatibility with third-party straps, so owners should not assume standard aftermarket straps will fit. Price, production status, and buying
Monochrome Watches reported a launch price of CHF 48,800 before taxes in January 2024 and described the watch as not limited edition. Treat both as historical launch details: neither establishes a current price, current availability, or present production status. Request a current regional quote and stock confirmation from BOVET or an authorized retailer.
BOVET’s current product page states a five-year warranty. Warranty terms can depend on region and purchase channel; verify the conditions that apply to the specific watch and seller before purchase. The current page does not establish a current retail price or regional inventory.
