The Breguet Classique Tourbillon 3797 pairs a one-minute tourbillon with a retrograde perpetual calendar in a 41 mm case. Breguet’s official manual explicitly calls the 3795/3797 a perpetual-calendar watch, while its current 3797 product pages describe the calendar displays without using that phrase. The current listed versions are platinum and 18K rose gold; neither page publishes a price.
Is the Breguet 3797 a perpetual calendar?
Yes. Breguet’s instruction manual for the 3795/3797 family identifies the watch as having a perpetual calendar and retrograde date display. It describes indicators for the leap-year cycle, month, date from 1 to 31, and weekday. The current product pages for the two 3797 references focus on the visible calendar arrangement—a retrograde calendar at 12 o’clock, with day and month counters at 9 and 3—rather than explicitly calling it perpetual. These sources describe the same model family from different angles; the manual is the source that confirms the complication’s perpetual-calendar function.
The display is organized around the tourbillon at 6 o’clock. Breguet specifies that it completes one rotation per minute. The dial also has a Roman-numeral hour chapter, Breguet-style open-tipped hands, and Clous de Paris guilloché. Breguet describes the tourbillon’s historical purpose as compensating for rate errors caused by changes in a watch’s position; that is the maker’s explanation of the complication, not evidence of a measured accuracy advantage for this particular watch in everyday wear.
What are the 3797’s specifications?
Breguet lists the same core dimensions and movement specifications for the platinum and rose-gold references.

Both product pages list rhodiage dial coating, hand-satiné guilloché finishing, and steel Breguet hollow-apple hands. Case and clasp materials vary by reference. The published specifications do not establish real-world accuracy, wrist comfort, legibility in different lighting, or service requirements.
How do you set the perpetual calendar?
Breguet’s manual identifies three correctors: corrector I advances the year and month together, corrector II advances the date, and corrector III advances the weekday. The manual’s critical restriction is explicit: “The month must NEVER be corrected while the date display indicates between 28 and 31.” Use the watch’s own manual and the correctors as directed; do not force an adjustment if the calendar is showing one of those dates.
The manual states that 3-bar water resistance is guaranteed with the crown in position 1. It does not establish a swimming or diving use recommendation. Follow Breguet’s instructions for the crown and correctors, and seek service guidance if the calendar is out of sequence or its setting condition is unclear.
How much does the Breguet 3797 cost?
Breguet’s current pages do not give a recommended retail price for either listed reference; they direct prospective buyers to contact a point of sale. The pages confirm that the brand currently presents these references on its official site, but do not confirm stock, production status, delivery timing, or secondary-market value. Ask a retailer to confirm the exact reference and current price. For a pre-owned example, check condition, provenance, and service documentation before comparing offers.

What the official information can—and cannot—tell a buyer
The manufacturer’s information establishes the 3797’s materials, dimensions, movement specifications, display layout, and calendar-setting cautions. It is not an independent hands-on review: no measured accuracy result, long-term reliability finding, service-cost figure, or firsthand wearing assessment is established here. Breguet’s manual calls the tourbillon and perpetual calendar two of A.-L. Breguet’s most prestigious complications; that is the manufacturer’s own characterization.
For a considered purchase, compare the exact case material and dimensions with your preferences, review how the calendar is corrected, and assess whether 3 BAR resistance suits your intended use. Confirm the watch’s condition, provenance, service history, and current price with a retailer rather than treating the official product listing as evidence of local availability.
