The Breguet Tradition 7057 is a 40 mm, manually wound rose-gold watch built around an unusually open view of its movement. The current official reference, 7057BR/R9/9W6, pairs a black-lacquered, hand-guilloché time dial with a 50-hour power reserve and a 3 BAR water-resistance rating. Breguet does not publish a current numerical retail price on its product page; it directs buyers to a point of sale.
What is the Breguet Tradition 7057?
The Tradition 7057 is a dress-oriented mechanical watch whose movement is a central part of the display. Instead of enclosing the mechanism behind a conventional dial, it places a smaller time display within an exposed movement architecture. The result emphasizes bridges, gears and escapement alongside traditional Breguet details, including a power-reserve indicator.

The current English-language Breguet product page lists reference 7057BR/R9/9W6. Monochrome-Watches’ review, published 23 July 2015, covers a different suffix, 7057BR/G9/9W6. Both are 40 mm rose-gold 7057 versions, but the references should not be treated as interchangeable when identifying a specific watch or describing its finish.

How does the Breguet Tradition 7057 work?
The 7057 is a manually wound mechanical watch. Winding the crown stores energy in the movement’s mainspring; that energy is released through the gear train and escapement to drive the hands. Its 50-hour reserve indicates how long the movement can run when fully wound, before it needs winding again. The dial-side reserve display is positioned at 10 o’clock, and the reserve can also be seen from the back. Breguet describes it this way: “The power reserve for this manually-wound watch is visible on the dial at 10 o’clock as well as on the back.”
The hours and minutes appear on the smaller dial; the 2015 review notes that the reviewed example has no seconds hand. Around that dial, the official product description identifies visible bridges, gear train, escapement and an old-style pare-chute. The exposed layout makes the mechanism part of the watch’s visual identity rather than something seen only through the caseback.
Dial, movement and design details
On the current 7057BR/R9/9W6 listing, Breguet specifies a black-lacquered, hand-guilloché dial. The 2015 review’s observations apply specifically to its 7057BR/G9/9W6 example: it describes Clou de Paris in the centre, circular graining on the hour ring and grain d’orge between the zones. Those surface details are useful for understanding that reviewed version, but should not be assumed to describe every 7057 suffix.
Monochrome-Watches places the Tradition collection in the context of Breguet’s historical Souscription watches and dates the collection’s start to the 7027 in 2005. That is the review’s account of the collection’s inspiration and history.

How it wears: 40 mm rose gold, polished surfaces and long lugs
The 40 mm case gives the watch a more noticeable presence than the 37 mm Tradition 7027, according to the 2015 reviewer. The reviewer also says the larger opening makes the movement view feel airier than on the smaller model. These are the reviewer’s comparative impressions, not results from testing the watch on multiple wrists.
The same review describes its example’s case as fully polished, notes that the finish attracts scratches, and calls the lugs rather long. Those are relevant tradeoffs for anyone considering a polished precious-metal case and distinctive lug shape; personal fit will depend on wrist and preference.

Breguet specifies 3 BAR water resistance and a non-screw crown. That rating does not establish suitability for swimming or diving, so the 7057 is best approached as a dress-oriented mechanical watch rather than a choice for water activities. Follow Breguet’s care guidance for exposure to water.
Price and availability
Breguet’s current product page gives no numerical recommended retail price and directs prospective buyers to a point of sale. Current pricing and availability therefore need to be confirmed with Breguet or an authorized retailer for the buyer’s region.
Monochrome-Watches printed “Price: 26.900 Euros” in its review published 23 July 2015. That is a review-era figure—€26,900 when expressed in modern numeric formatting—not a current retail quote or a supported estimate of present market value.
Verdict
The Tradition 7057 is for someone drawn to the mechanics as much as to the time display: its small dial, visible movement, rose-gold case and hand-guilloché detail give it a distinctive, technically expressive character. The 50-hour manual-winding calibre and dual-view power-reserve display are meaningful features, while the polished gold finish, long lugs and limited water-resistance rating are practical considerations. Confirm the exact reference suffix and obtain a current regional price before making a purchase decision.
