What is the Breguet Type XX Chronographe 2075?
Breguet introduced the Type XX Chronographe 2075 in 2025 as part of its 250th-anniversary celebrations. The brand says the design draws inspiration from an emblematic 1955 watch. The current collection comprises two references in 18K Breguet gold, each with a bi-compax dial, manual-winding movement and flyback chronograph. The principal choice is therefore material and counter scale, not case size or chronograph function. Breguet’s launch announcement identifies the black dial with calibre 7279 and its 15-minute register, and the silver dial with calibre 7278 and its 30-minute register. Both calibres are described as manually wound derivatives of the 728 movement. The black dial’s “Al” marking identifies aluminium; the brand presents that material as a reference to aircraft construction.
Case, movement and operating details
Breguet lists a 38.3 mm case diameter, 13.2 mm thickness and 19 mm lug width. The case is 18K Breguet gold, and the official water-resistance rating is 5 BAR. The watch is fitted with a calfskin strap. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or a statement about how the watch wears on a particular wrist.

The official product page lists a 5 Hz frequency and 60-hour power reserve for calibre 7278. Breguet describes the 2075 calibres as manual-winding; the flyback chronograph lets the wearer reset and start a new timing run with one pusher action, instead of stopping, resetting and restarting in separate operations. The small-seconds display is distinct from the chronograph’s elapsed-time counters.
What the aviation decoration represents
The exhibition caseback reveals an engraved aircraft and a route. Breguet says its workshops hand-engraved the Breguet 19 aircraft and the Paris-to-New York flight path associated with aviators Dieudonné Costes and Maurice Bellonte. In the company’s account, the pair completed the flight on September 1–2, 1930, in a Breguet 19TR Super Bidon in a little over 37 hours; the aircraft carried a question mark on each side. The dial materials also carry the manufacturer’s aviation references: the black option uses anodised aluminium, while the other is solid silver. Breguet connects the aluminium choice to Louis Breguet’s use of Duralumin in aircraft. The display back makes the route and aircraft part of the watch’s visible design rather than limiting the aviation story to dial styling.

Breguet’s product page does not publish a current numeric price in the reviewed listing and directs prospective buyers to a point of sale. Fratello reported launch-era, tax-inclusive prices on June 5, 2025, of CHF 36,500 for the black version and CHF 38,000 for the silver version; those dated figures should not be treated as current quotes for a particular country or retailer. Fratello’s launch coverage also reports that the silver version is limited to 250 pieces. The available reporting does not establish a production limit for the black version.
