Breguet announced two new versions of the Classique Tourbillon 3358 on 19 October 2023: an 18K white-gold model with a midnight-blue mother-of-pearl dial, and an 18K rose-gold model with a diamond-set dial. The announcement’s rose-gold dial has 281 diamonds. Both belong to a 35 mm, manually wound tourbillon range, but movement and some case specifications vary by reference.
What Breguet announced in October 2023
Breguet’s 19 October 2023 announcement introduced two versions of its Classique Tourbillon 3358. The most immediate difference is visual: one pairs white gold with a blue, pearled and varnished mother-of-pearl dial; the other pairs rose gold with natural white mother-of-pearl and diamond setting. The design places the hours chapter at 12 o’clock and the tourbillon at 6 o’clock. Breguet describes the tourbillon as appearing through a curved, polished opening. The two versions give that display different decorative treatments, rather than presenting the same dial in two case metals.

The diamond count is specific to the rose-gold version described in Breguet’s 2023 announcement; it should not be applied to the white-gold model. What the official specifications say
Breguet’s product pages describe the 3358 range as having a 35 mm case, manual winding and a 50-hour power reserve. Two movements appear across the cited listings: caliber 187D and caliber 558.1. Both are specified at 2.5 Hz and 4.8 mm movement thickness; the 187D has 187 components, while the 558.1 has 196. These movement specifications are not interchangeable assumptions for every reference, so check the caliber shown for the individual watch.

The cited 187D case dimensions and water resistance belong to reference 3358BR/8D/986 D0, not automatically to every 3358. Breguet’s pages also cover references 3358BB/8D/986 D0 and 3358BB/2P/986 DD0D. Check the listing for the exact reference before relying on its movement or case data. What the tourbillon does—and what the specifications do not establish
Breguet attributes the tourbillon’s invention to Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801 and explains its purpose as compensating for gravity’s effects on the regulating organ. That describes the complication’s intended function; it is not evidence of a measured accuracy advantage for the 3358. The cited product material provides no comparative precision test or performance statistic for these versions.
