What the Super Avenger Military’s 24-hour display means
On this model, the hour hand makes one full rotation in 24 hours, rather than the usual 12. The retailer description explains the hand’s single daily rotation, and the period specification sheet identifies the watch as a 24-hour model. That is different from a GMT arrangement: the Military’s 24-hour hour hand indicates the watch’s single time display, not an independent second time zone. Do not confuse the 24-hour scale or hand with a second-zone function.

The edition sheet’s 500-piece description identifies a limited run; it does not establish how many examples remain available today. The database dimensions and weight are model-record values, not proof that a specific surviving watch retains its original strap or configuration.

How it differs from the current Super Avenger Chronograph 48
The modern Super Avenger Chronograph 48 is a separate model, not a current version of the 2013 Military edition. Breitling’s current product information lists Caliber 13 for the Chronograph 48; its Night Mission variant uses DLC-coated titanium. Those details should not be transferred to the Military, whose period sheet specifies Caliber 22 and black-coated steel.

What to check when buying or fitting a strap
The available model record and specification sheet establish the reference and published design, but they do not verify the authenticity, condition, current price or availability of any individual listing. Check the watch itself and its documentation rather than relying on a seller’s title or stock photograph.

- Compare the reference and serial details on the watch with its papers and service records.
- Inspect condition, including the case coating, crystal, crown, pushpieces and chronograph operation; request clear photographs and service documentation.
- Ask whether the strap is original and whether other included parts or papers match the specific watch.
- The model record lists 24 mm lug width, a useful starting point when looking for a replacement strap. Confirm the individual watch’s lug width, attachment style and buckle compatibility before ordering; the published width alone does not prove a particular strap will fit.
The sheet’s COSC certification is a specification of the movement, not authentication of an individual watch or evidence of its present-day accuracy.
