What is the Superocean rainbow-dial edition?
BreitlingOfficial presented the watches as new editions in a video description published June 12, 2024. Its campaign covers two case sizes, 42 mm and 36 mm, but does not list every reference or establish that all colors remain available today. See BreitlingOfficial’s 2024 campaign.
The name can suggest a dial made entirely in rainbow colors. Breitling’s product description for the documented 42 mm reference instead emphasizes the broad hands and hour indexes, which use gradient-colored luminous material. Breitling states: “Broad hands and indexes in a rainbow gradient of luminescent Super-LumiNova® allow for easy readability (and extra fun).” The campaign says the watches glow at night in a gradient of Super-LumiNova hues. The rainbow treatment is therefore specifically described on the hands and indexes, alongside the colorful straps; it should not be taken as confirmation that the dial surface itself is rainbow-colored.
How the 36 mm and 42 mm editions differ
Breitling’s campaign provides a broad comparison of size, case materials and strap colors, but not a complete technical specification sheet for every version.

The published information does not support a universal recommendation about which size will fit better. Case diameter alone does not determine wrist fit, and the campaign does not supply comparative measurements for every variant. Check the exact reference and, if possible, try the watch on before choosing.
Specifications for the documented 42 mm turquoise reference
Breitling’s official product page lists reference A17375211B2S1. These details apply to that reference and should not automatically be assumed for every color or for the 36 mm edition.

Price and availability
Bucherer US displayed a price of $5,700 on its page titled “Superocean Automatic 42 Rainbow” when accessed. That is a retailer-page price observation, not evidence of the launch price, a guaranteed current offer, or confirmed stock. Breitling has an official product page for the turquoise 42 mm reference, but the available information does not establish whether every 2024 color remains in production or is in stock. The collection page shows both 36 mm and 42 mm sizes within the broader Superocean range; it is not a confirmation that every rainbow edition is currently offered. Breitling has also had an earlier 42 mm Superocean variant with a colorful minute scale. That is a different design detail from the 2024 rainbow-hand-and-index treatment. When comparing listings or looking for a particular watch, use the full model description and reference number rather than relying on “rainbow” alone. Breitling’s legacy 42 mm page provides context for the earlier colorful minute-scale variant.
