Breitling’s gold 140th-anniversary collection is a trio of limited-edition watches: the Premier B19 Datora 42, Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43, and Super Chronomat B19 44. Each is limited to 140 pieces and uses the B19 automatic chronograph with a perpetual calendar. Their shared movement is wrapped in three distinct designs—dress-leaning, aviation-focused, and sport-oriented—with differences in case size, water resistance, and strap.
Which watches are in the collection?
Breitling presents the three models as limited-edition anniversary timepieces representing the Premier, Navitimer, and Chronomat collections. The Premier and Navitimer are in 18k red gold; the Super Chronomat pairs a skeletonized dial with ceramic details and a rubber interpretation of its Rouleaux bracelet. Dimensions, water resistance, and strap details in the comparison are reported by Fratello Watches’ August 29, 2024 launch coverage. Breitling’s US Premier product listing independently confirms that model’s 42 mm diameter, 15.6 mm thickness, 100 m water resistance, and black alligator strap. Breitling lists a 22.05 mm lug width for the Premier; the cited comparison does not give lug widths for the other two.
What the B19 movement does
Breitling describes the B19 as its first manufacture movement combining a chronograph with a perpetual calendar. It is based on Caliber 01 and assembled at the Breitling Chronometrie in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Premier listing specifies an automatic movement with an approximately 96-hour power reserve, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, 39 jewels, a 30-minute chronograph counter, and a perpetual calendar with moon phase.

Breitling says the calendar can run for nearly a century without major adjustment when the watch is regularly worn or wound. That is a claim about calendar correction, not freedom from winding or servicing for a century. The three models have sapphire casebacks; Breitling says the rotor is engraved with the original Montbrillant factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Fratello reports that the rotor is 22K red gold.
How to choose among the three
Choose the Premier for a more restrained, dress-oriented look
Its black dial, Arabic numerals, contrasting minutes scale, and square pushers distinguish it from the other two. At 42 mm in diameter, it is the smallest by that measurement, although the reported 50.03 mm case length and 15.6 mm thickness remain substantial dimensions to consider.

Choose the Navitimer for the aviation slide-rule design
The circular slide rule gives the Navitimer its clearest visual identity, while its red-gold dial sets it apart from the black-dial Premier. It is 43 mm across and has the lowest reported water-resistance rating of the trio, 30 m.
Choose the Super Chronomat for the most overtly sporty design
The skeletonized dial, ceramic details, rider tabs, onion crown, and Rouleaux-inspired rubber strap make this the most visually technical model. Its 44 mm diameter is the largest, and its reported dimensions are 53.5 mm long and 15.35 mm thick.

Price, packaging, and edition details
Breitling’s US Premier product page displayed USD 65,550 excluding sales tax when accessed on October 8, 2026. That is a time-sensitive US listing for the Premier reference RB19401A1B1P1, not a current price for all three watches. Fratello reported a UK launch price of £48,000 per watch in its August 29, 2024 coverage; this is historical launch pricing, not a current retail quote. Availability and pricing may differ by market and change over time.

Breitling says each watch is supplied in a wooden, suede-lined box configurable to display up to three watches, with a storage drawer and removable travel pouch. The brand also describes a deluxe edition of Breitling: 140 Years in 140 Stories (Rizzoli, 2024), personalized with the selected watch on the cover. Confirm what is included with the seller, especially when buying across regions or on the secondary market.

Breitling dates its founding to 1884. According to the brand’s anniversary page, the Premier debuted in 1943; the Navitimer was developed in 1952 for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and became the first Swiss wristwatch in space in 1962; and the Chronomat launched in 1983 as the official watch of Italy’s Frecce Tricolori aerobatics team before wider release a year later.
