The watch debuted in 2021, rather than being a new 2026 release. TUDOR’s Japan announcement, dated April 7, 2021, scheduled its release in Japan for April 8 of that year; that announcement establishes the Japanese timing, not a universal release date. Its 2021 press kit also describes the MT5400 as having a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, a variable-inertia balance with screw micro-adjustment, stop-seconds, 27 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz). Those are launch-document specifications, not independently verified test findings. The 2021 press kit gives the original reference as 79018V.

Does the TUDOR Black Bay 58 18K come with a gold bracelet?
There are different configurations. The current U.S. individual page for M79018V-0001 shows a dark brown alligator strap and a complimentary green fabric strap. TUDOR’s collection page also shows a variation with a satin-finished solid-gold three-link bracelet and T-fit clasp. TUDOR’s collection listing describes the clasp as offering five positions and an 8 mm adjustment window, with ceramic ball bearings. These are manufacturer-described design details, not independent findings about comfort or durability.

The defining choice is material: a satin-finished solid-gold case, matching gold bezel hardware and green surfaces give the familiar Fifty-Eight diver a markedly different look from a steel version. The open sapphire case back makes the movement visible, while the 200 m water-resistance rating retains the stated depth rating of a diver’s watch.
