Brellum’s current black-dial listing showed CHF 2,157.99 when checked, but that is a different date and configuration from the EUR 2,110 launch price.
What Brellum introduced in September 2021
Brellum announced the Wyvern GMT Chronometer on September 10, 2021. The release came in three dial colors: blue with yellow accents, silver with red and blue accents, and black with red accents. Fratello reported a production limit of 299 units per year; that figure describes the stated annual limit, not current availability, total production, or remaining stock. Fratello’s launch coverage and Monochrome’s launch report document the release and its initial specifications.

These specifications come from Brellum’s Wyvern GMT overview and Monochrome’s September 2021 report. The central GMT hand uses a 24-hour scale, with day/night indication described in Fratello’s hands-on coverage. The manufacturer lists stop seconds and an instantaneous date alongside the GMT function.
How the GMT and date work
The Wyvern displays a second time zone with a central 24-hour GMT hand and track, rather than a separate subdial. A day/night indication helps distinguish the half of the day shown by that hand. This arrangement keeps the dial comparatively integrated, though reading the second time zone requires using its 24-hour scale.

In his November 11, 2021 hands-on article, Fratello’s Nacho Conde Garzón reported that the first crown position adjusts the date and GMT hand, while pulling the crown farther stops the seconds. These are the reviewer’s observations of the watch’s operation; Brellum independently lists the GMT, instantaneous date, and stop-seconds functions. Will the 42.3 mm case fit your wrist?
The 42.3 mm diameter makes the Wyvern a substantial watch, but diameter alone does not determine how it wears. Brellum lists the current black-dial bracelet version at 45 mm axis-to-axis and 10.9 mm thick, with a stated wrist range of 15–21 cm. Fratello’s reviewer measured or described a 51 mm lug-to-lug span on the watch he handled; that is a different measurement and should not be confused with Brellum’s 45 mm axis-to-axis figure.

The reviewer found the 42.3 mm case prominent for his preference, while saying its thin profile and curved lugs helped it wear comfortably. That is an individual impression, not a guarantee of fit. If possible, compare the watch’s lug span and case shape with a watch you already wear, and consider the bracelet or rubber strap you intend to use. The current black-dial listing’s 15–21 cm range applies to that listed configuration, not necessarily every variant or wrist preference.

These figures are not directly comparable: they are from different dates, currencies, and potentially different configurations. Brellum says non-CHF displayed prices are estimates and that purchases are charged in CHF; customs or import taxes may apply depending on destination. Check the live black-dial product page for the current price, configuration, stock status, and delivery terms before ordering.

Is the Wyvern GMT Chronometer worth considering?
On paper, the Wyvern combines a COSC-certified automatic movement, a 24-hour GMT display, 100-meter water resistance, and a relatively slim 10.9 mm case. Its most relevant trade-off is size: at 42.3 mm, it is not a small watch, and the reviewer’s 51 mm lug-to-lug description may matter to wrists that are sensitive to overhang. Buyers should also evaluate the currently offered configuration and live price rather than treating the 2021 launch price as current.
The available coverage does not establish a like-for-like competitor comparison, current remaining production, or resale value. The reported limit of 299 units per year should not be used to infer any of those. For a buyer drawn to the dial options and central GMT layout, the practical decision is whether the case dimensions and current purchase terms suit their wrist and budget.
