Bremont’s Codebreaker is a historically themed, limited-edition flyback chronograph GMT created with the Bletchley Park Trust and released in 2013. Bremont’s 2014–2015 brochure lists 240 stainless-steel examples and 60 rose-gold examples; the manufacturer now marks the watch as retired, so it is not currently available new from Bremont.
When Bremont announced the Codebreaker
Bremont says it worked with the Bletchley Park Trust to create the Codebreaker, with a percentage of proceeds going toward the site’s ongoing restoration. Bremont’s 2014–2015 brochure dates the collaboration’s release to 2013; Hodinkee reported that the watch was introduced in June 2013. Bremont’s official product page, its 2014–2015 brochure and Hodinkee’s February 2014 report describe the launch.
How many Codebreaker watches were made?
Bremont’s 2014–2015 brochure lists 240 stainless-steel watches and 60 rose-gold watches. These are the production figures published in that brochure, not independently audited totals. The two case materials are the principal documented distinction between the editions.

What makes the Codebreaker historically themed?
Bremont describes the watch as incorporating materials associated with Bletchley Park. Its product page and technical notes say the stainless-steel case barrel contains original punch cards used to display the limited-edition number, the crown incorporates original pinewood from Hut 6, and the rotor includes parts from an original German Enigma machine. Bremont also says the rotor’s design draws on the visual appearance of Turing’s Bombe machine. These artifact descriptions are the manufacturer’s account of the watch’s construction. The technical notes also reproduce a statement attributed there to General D. Eisenhower: “The intelligence… from you (Bletchley Park)… has been of priceless value. It has saved thousands of British and American lives and, in no small way, contributed to the speed with which the enemy was routed and eventually forced to surrender… (It was a) very decisive contribution to the allied war effort.” That attribution is as presented in Bremont’s notes.
Movement and functions
The Codebreaker combines an automatic flyback chronograph with a GMT second time zone and date. Bremont lists a BE-83AR movement with 39 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve. The flyback function allows a chronograph timing sequence to be reset and restarted with one operation rather than stopping, resetting and starting it separately.

Case, dial and water resistance
Bremont specifies a stainless-steel Trip-Tick case with the punch-card limited-edition number, an etched metal dial and treated brass hands. The crystal is domed sapphire, described by Bremont as anti-reflective and scratch-resistant. Water resistance is rated at 10 ATM, or 100 metres.
