British Watchmakers’ Day 2025 took place at London’s Lindley Hall on 8 March, bringing together 44 exhibitors. Twenty-six exhibiting brands announced special-edition watches, ranging from a one-off dive watch to a 200-piece collaboration. This is a retrospective: the editions were scarce, some were offered only at the event, and the available sources do not establish which remain for sale. Check with each maker before treating a watch as available.
What was British Watchmakers’ Day 2025?
Organized by the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers, also styled British Watch & Clock Makers, the London event brought independent British watch brands together with visitors interested in seeing and buying their watches. It was held on Saturday, 8 March 2025, at Lindley Hall.
The organizer reported 44 exhibitors and said 26 exhibiting brands announced special editions. In its 10 March 2025 retrospective, it also said general-admission tickets sold out in 15 hours and described 1,200 attendees as a “focus group with cash.” These are the organizer’s reported figures and characterization, not independently audited attendance or sales data. The retrospective’s account of strong buying interest is summed up in its words: “Our attendees are there to buy.” Mike France, the organization’s co-founder, described the challenge of following the first event as “The Difficult Second Album.”
The special-edition list was announced at the end of January, according to the organizer. The editions were not one uniform type of release: runs ranged from a single watch to hundreds, with different complications, materials, designs and advertised prices.

Which watches were released at British Watchmakers’ Day 2025?
Here are representative releases from the event roster. Edition counts and names follow the organizer’s list; technical details and prices are attributed to WatchPro’s preview dated 7 February 2025. Prices are period-of-event advertised prices, not confirmed final transaction prices or current valuations.
| Watch | Edition | What distinguished it | Advertised price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio Underd0g + Fears The Gimlet | 200 pieces | WatchPro described a 38 mm cushion case, lime-green gradient dial with seven layers of custom Super-LumiNova, floating numerals and indices, Sellita SW210-1 movement and Swift Calfskin strap. The collaboration’s relatively large run contrasts with many smaller event editions. | £1,000 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Monro MOA-BWD | 1 piece | WatchPro described a 41 mm dive watch with a Seiko NH38A automatic movement and 200 m water resistance. Its unique-piece status makes it an outlier, not a typical limited retail run. | Not stated in the cited WatchPro preview |
| Elliot Brown Holton Auto GMT: XXV/X | 10 pieces | Lake Yard Blue dial, Postbox Red 24-hour inner chapter ring, GMT hand, brushed steel case and bracelet. Elliot Brown said the watch was exclusively available at the London event on 8 March 2025. | £950 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Marloe Morar 310 | 100 pieces | WatchPro described a dive watch with 310 m water resistance, ceramic bezel and helium-release valve; it said watchmaker Alison Eardley assembled the watches in-house. | £699 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Vertex M60 Taormina | 50 pieces | WatchPro listed a blue dial, ceramic bezel, 600 m water resistance, three interchangeable straps and a waterproof Peli case. Its preview also attributed an ISO 6425 claim to the watch; that is a reported claim, not an independent certification assessment here. | £2,950 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Christopher Ward C1 Moonphase Mission to Maidenhead | 25 pieces | WatchPro described a 37 mm aventurine dial, laser-etched Union Jack, moonphase display and British-flag astronaut motif. The complication and decorative dial set it apart from the event’s tool-style dive and GMT watches. | From £2,395 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Fears Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour Edwardian Edition | 10 pieces | Sterling silver case, diamond-set crown and white lacquer dial inspired by Edwardian pocket watches, according to WatchPro. The jump-hour display gives it a different time-reading style from conventional hands. | £5,450 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Geckota Pioneer Special Edition in Lapis Blue | 50 pieces | WatchPro listed a 41.5 mm cushion case, 100 m water resistance, Horween Chromexcel leather strap and TMI NH38 automatic movement. | £399 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Isotope Mercury BWD: Micro Marquetry and Cloisonné | 5 pieces each | Two variants with 38 mm cases and specialist dial techniques. The distinction is the dial treatment: micro marquetry in one edition and cloisonné in the other. | £5,640 for Micro Marquetry and £5,880 for Cloisonné (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
| Golby The Coastal | 25 pieces | WatchPro described a 36 mm dive watch with navy dial, lighthouse hands, Miyota 905S movement and 200 m water resistance, supplied with a bracelet and complimentary navy strap. | £359 (WatchPro, 7 February 2025) |
The organizer’s roster also included Alkin Model Three SE (40 pieces), Apiar Gen 1.0 (5), Beaucroft X Penfold (75), Bōken Breacher Time-Only watches (3), Clemence The Munro 2025 Concept Edition (10), Duckworth Prestex No.2 (25), Farer The Aurora (10), Omologato Arnage 24h GMT (10), Olivier Meylan PES Special Edition (5), Pinion Neutron Violet (30), Pompeak Smoked Red Edition (15), Schofield B6 Special Editions (40 across three versions) and Sidereus Gordon Bennett (5). WatchPro listed the Sidereus at €2,350 plus tax; that euro price and tax qualification should not be directly compared with the pound prices in the table. Naming and details can differ between the organizer’s roster and the pre-event preview, so the official roster is the reference for model names and quantities.

How should you compare the editions?
Scarcity is a release characteristic, not a measure of quality or value. A useful comparison starts with the watch’s intended use and the evidence available about its specification.
- For diving-oriented specifications: the Marloe Morar 310, Vertex M60 Taormina and Golby The Coastal were described with water-resistance ratings of 310 m, 600 m and 200 m respectively. Those figures and the Vertex standards claim are trade-press descriptions, not results of independent testing in this article.
- For travel or a second time zone: the Elliot Brown Holton Auto GMT: XXV/X is the clearly identified GMT example, with a 24-hour inner ring and GMT hand.
- For a dressier or more decorative display: the C1 Moonphase Mission to Maidenhead adds a moonphase complication and illustrated motif, while the Fears Edwardian Edition uses a jump-hour display and sterling silver case. Isotope’s Mercury variants foreground specialized dial craft.
- For a collaboration with a larger run: The Gimlet’s 200-piece edition is notably larger than the one-, five-, ten- and 25-piece examples, while still being a limited release.
- For a lower period advertised price among these examples: WatchPro listed the Geckota at £399 and Golby at £359. Those historical prices do not establish current retail or resale value.
Can you still buy The Gimlet or another 2025 event watch?
Current stock is not established by the event-era coverage. The organizer’s 2025 page says the special editions were created exclusively for attendees, had strict quantity limits, and that some sold out within hours. It also invites people who missed the event to check the full panel for a possible opportunity to acquire an edition. That invitation does not identify which watches remain available.

Access terms also differed by maker. Elliot Brown described its ten Holton Auto GMT: XXV/X watches as event-exclusive and said attendees had to queue for a chance to buy one. WatchPro’s pre-event coverage said there were no pre-orders for the limited editions. These statements describe how access worked around the event; they do not confirm present inventory.
- Check the maker’s official product page for a current listing or availability notice.
- If the status is unclear, contact the maker and ask whether any original edition stock remains, rather than assuming an old listing means it is available.
- If considering a resale listing, treat it as a secondary-market offer and verify the watch’s identity, condition, included materials and seller terms independently.
The organizer’s 2025 event page is available at British Watch & Clock Makers; its retrospective is at Reflections on ‘British Watchmaking..Day 2’. WatchPro’s dated preview provides the period lineup and descriptions at WatchPro’s full list of limited-edition watches. Elliot Brown’s event-specific product information is at Elliot Brown.
