The original titanium Bulgari Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar, reference 103200, puts a full perpetual-calendar display inside a 5.80 mm-thick, 40 mm case. Its BVL 305 movement is 2.75 mm thick, uses a micro-rotor and has a 60-hour power reserve. The dial is unusually open for a perpetual calendar, though its compact month display may be harder to read at a glance. Prices depend on reference, market and date: the Foundation Haute Horlogerie lists CHF 55,000 as an indicated price, while a 2021 launch report gave historical euro prices.

The focus here is the original sandblasted titanium Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar, reference 103200, introduced in the 2021 launch generation. Bvlgari’s collection page also lists a sandblasted rose-gold version, reference 103175, and a blue PVD-coated titanium version, reference 104262, with an alligator strap. Those are distinct configurations, not interchangeable names for the 103200.
The official collection page describes the current listed configurations but does not provide a current price in the retrieved content. It also does not establish regional stock. Bvlgari’s Octo Finissimo collection page is the appropriate place to check the current models; confirm the exact reference and regional availability with Bvlgari or a local authorized retailer.

The case and movement specifications are given on Bvlgari’s regional 103200 page; the movement dimensions and component count are also described on its official collection page. Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie independently lists a 40 mm titanium case, 30 m water resistance, 2.75 mm movement and 60-hour reserve.

At 30 m water resistance, this is a dress-oriented ultra-thin watch specification, not a basis for treating the watch as a dive watch. The figure is a stated rating; it does not by itself establish suitability for swimming or other water activity.
How the perpetual calendar is displayed
The BVL 305 presents the calendar indications directly across the dial rather than hiding the calendar mechanism in a separate module, as Monochrome describes it. The date runs across the upper part of the dial on a retrograde hand. The lower area carries the day and month on separate counters, while a second retrograde indication at six o’clock shows the leap-year cycle. Bvlgari characterizes the functions as retrograde date, day, month and retrograde leap year.

Three correctors on the case band are used to adjust the date, month and day, according to Monochrome’s review; Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie also records three correctors. A perpetual calendar is designed to account for the different month lengths and leap years, but its indications still require correct setting and handling. The sources cited here do not provide a complete setting procedure, so use the instruction material supplied for the specific watch rather than assuming a correction sequence.
Dial legibility and the hands-on review
The layout’s appeal is that the calendar information remains separated instead of stacking one function inside another. Rebecca Doulton, reviewing the original launch generation for Monochrome, judged the arrangement “tight and symmetrical,” with space for the displays and no overlapping hands or functions integrated inside other functions. That is her assessment of the design, not a measured legibility test.

Doulton also raised a practical reservation: the month indications are compact. That is the trade-off to weigh against the clean, information-rich layout. If quick month reading matters more to you than a restrained dial, inspect the watch in person or view close-up photographs before deciding.
Monochrome’s 7 April 2021 review includes video and hands-on material about the original titanium 103200 and platinum 103463 launch models. It is not a hands-on review of the newer blue 104262.
