The Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Marble, reference 103660, is a one-off watch created for Only Watch 2023—not a standard production Octo Finissimo. Its defining feature is Verde di Alpi marble applied in thin layers across a DLC-treated titanium case, dial and bracelet, surrounding Bulgari’s 1.95 mm hand-wound flying-tourbillon movement. The watch was eventually sold at the 2024 auction for a reported CHF 190,000.
What is the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Marble?
Reference 103660 was made as a unique contribution to the tenth edition of Only Watch. The charity auction’s published lot description calls it “Produced as a one-off and with no equivalent in the watchmaking world,” adding that Bulgari intended to “etch the 10th Edition of Only Watch in stone for all time.” The statement is from the Only Watch/Bulgari lot description, not a named individual.
The design combines the Octo Finissimo’s angular titanium architecture with green marble. Timekeepers Club identifies the stone as coming from Italy’s Aosta Valley and notes its white veining, which gives each marble surface a distinctive pattern.
How Bulgari applied marble to the watch
Only Watch’s specification describes a DLC-treated titanium base with thin Verde di Alpi marble layers. The dimensions and marble thicknesses below are from the official lot specification published in 2023.

The thin stone treatment is the central engineering challenge as well as the visual idea: the layers had to be applied without cracking while preserving the watch’s design. Bulgari/Only Watch stated that development and production took 800 hours in 2023; this is the published figure, not an independently audited labor total.
The BVL 268 flying-tourbillon movement
Inside is Bulgari’s hand-wound BVL 268, a flying-tourbillon caliber displaying hours and minutes. Only Watch lists a 1.95 mm movement thickness and a 52-hour power reserve.

The movement’s 1.95 mm thickness is not the thickness of the complete watch: the official 2023 specification gives the case a total thickness of 6.9 mm.
Only Watch estimate and eventual sale
The 2023 lot listing estimated the watch at CHF 150,000–250,000. The auction scheduled for 2023 was postponed, and the watch appeared in the eventual 2024 sale. Hodinkee reported a realized price of CHF 190,000. That is a historical auction result, not a current asking price or a present-day valuation.

Lot numbers differ because the references concern separate sale editions: Quill & Pad’s 2023 list identifies the Bulgari as Lot 15, while 2024 sale coverage identifies it as Lot 10.
How reference 103660 differs from Bulgari’s related catalog watch
Bulgari also lists a Marble Tourbillon, reference 104171. It shares the BVL 268 movement and Verde Alpi marble dial, but it is a different watch. Bulgari’s catalog page specifies an 18 kt yellow-gold case and green alligator strap for ref. 104171; those materials do not apply to the Only Watch ref. 103660, which has a DLC titanium case and marble-covered DLC titanium bracelet.

What the specifications do—and do not—establish
The published details document a thin marble treatment and a specific titanium construction, but they do not establish how the watch performs under impact, how readily the marble can be repaired, or its water resistance. The cited specifications provide no impact, water-resistance or repair testing, so the marble’s appearance and thinness should not be treated as evidence of durability.
For an identification search, “Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Marble 103660” names the physical watch. It does not establish that a current listing is available: the watch is documented as a one-off and was reported sold at auction in 2024.
