Case, dial and strap
The case is steel, with a tachymeter scale on the bezel, a screw-lock crown with ceramic inlay and a semi-transparent blue caseback bearing the Maserati logo. The dial combines lacquered blue and white champlevé decoration. Bulgari’s catalog specifies a 41 mm case; Maserati’s 2014 release gives 41.5 mm. The source materials therefore differ by half a millimetre, and neither figure should be silently substituted for the other. Maserati states a thickness of 13.07 mm.
The watch was fitted with a blue alligator strap and steel folding clasp. Both the catalog and Maserati’s release specify 100 metres of water resistance.

Bulgari and Maserati limited production to 1,914 pieces, a number chosen to refer to Maserati’s founding year. It is an edition size, not a sales figure or evidence of present-day market value. The reference and production figure appear in the Bulgari 2014 UK catalog and Maserati’s 2014 announcement.
How it differs from the 2012 Quadri-Retro
Maserati’s March 2012 announcement describes a separate 45 mm Octo Maserati with caliber GG7800. Its signature is the Quadri-Retro display: jumping hours, retrograde minutes and date, plus retrograde chronograph hour and minute counters. The movement is an integrated column-wheel chronograph with a 38-hour reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour; the watch is also rated to 100 metres. These details come from Maserati’s March 2012 release.
