Officine Panerai offers a bookable guided visit to its Neuchâtel manufacture. Panerai lists Thursday tours starting at 13:30, lasting 2.5 hours and costing CHF 70 per person in 2026; advance registration is required, places are capped at eight, and visitors must be at least 14. Check the date, language and current conditions on the official listing before travelling.
How to book a Panerai manufacture visit
Panerai lists the manufacture at Route de Pierre-à-Bot 87, 2000 Neuchâtel. The official French listing says visits take place every Thursday afternoon, with arrival requested at 13:15 for a 13:30 start. The visit lasts 2 hours 30 minutes. Registration is required and is listed as available until the Sunday before the visit. The 2026 listed price is CHF 70 per person, with a maximum of eight participants and a minimum age of 14. Check Panerai’s official manufacture page for dates, availability and registration.
Neuchâtel Tourism lists an operating period of 1 October 2026 to 17 June 2027. Treat that as a schedule listing, not a guarantee that places remain available for a particular Thursday. Confirm the selected date and current fee on Panerai’s booking page shortly before travel. Neuchâtel Tourism’s tour listing also notes that organizational or internal events can result in cancellation and a refund.
What happens during the tour?
Panerai describes the watch-development process rather than promising a fixed room-by-room itinerary. Its account begins in the “Laboratorio di Idee,” the Research and Development Department, where ideas are developed into prototypes. The process then moves through material selection, component manufacture and decoration, homologation testing, checks and validation, and finally assembly by watchmakers. Panerai’s description of the manufacture explains this sequence, but does not say that every stage will be operating or visible to visitors on every tour.

Panerai describes the newer manufacture as a facility of more than 10,000 m² with about 250 specialist employees. Those are company-published figures with no publication year stated on the visitor page, rather than independently verified or newly measured statistics.
Arrival, access and language
- Be early: arrive by 13:15 for the 13:30 start. Neuchâtel Tourism says the tour starts sharply and latecomers cannot join after it has begun.
- Check mobility needs: the tourism listing says the visit involves walking and is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
- Confirm the language: Panerai’s French listing says French, English and Italian alternate. Its English locale additionally lists German, while Neuchâtel Tourism gives French, German and English depending on the date. Ask which language is offered for the chosen visit rather than assuming one is available.
- Recheck before setting out: places, schedule, price and language may change, and the tour can be cancelled for organizational or internal reasons.
The published descriptions do not specify photography rules, public-transport directions, whether production is active during a given visit, or the exact spaces on the route. Contact the organizer if any of those details affect your plans.

Why Panerai makes watches in Neuchâtel
Panerai traces its origins to a workshop and shop in Florence in 1860; Richemont’s history also describes a later watchmaking school and the brand’s relationship with the Royal Italian Navy beginning in the 1910s. The dates associated with Neuchâtel refer to two different milestones: Panerai identifies 2002 as the opening of its original manufacture there, while Richemont’s 2014 annual report says production began at the newer facility in January 2014.
